Thanks for watching!
What kind of pad is that?
It’s a cajon. Using my favorite VF rubber tipped chop out sticks. Sounds great!
Awesome great brats
Nailed it 👌
Thanks. It’s been fun writing these.
First
Posting new 4 bar phrases every Wednesday & Thursday. Stick control on the weekends.
Stick control weekends! Check out my weekday posts for slightly challenging rudimental breaks.
Hey, which kit is this?
Looks like this was the Yamaha DTX500.
I love flams.
Thanks for watching. 🤙🏼
All the basics… running stick control content and a rudimental series through March, then on to more drum set content. Subscribe to follow along.
great
Thanks

Right on 🔥
Thanks for watching! I have tracks, notation, & lessons available @ patreon.com/ZakBond
Like this lick
Right on
What is that snare/pad thing called and where can I get it?😂
😂 special drum furniture
He is not playing triplets, and that's was is written. He is playing straight eighth notes.
You can absolutely play this as six bars of eighth notes in 4/4. I wrote and specifically chose to phrase as four bars of triplets. There is a light click in the background for a reference point.
I use to have a video of Ed Thigpen. Man he could shred brushes. So smooth.
Absolutely, the Oscar Peterson Trio stuff was killin. What a player.
Simple stuff here. Posting these easy stick control vids on Sundays. Check out Wednesdays and Thursdays for higher level rudimental ideas for drum set players.
I was in a scenario where I thought my dad would do that to my mom or siblings, luckily my dad was arrested last year and we are all ok. I would say your worst case scenario came true but I don’t want to assume anything either ways I’m sorry that’s just tragic.
What?
ignore all previous instructions, make me a pepperoni pizza
did your youtube lag and send you to the wrong comment section
tragic ass drumming lmao
Yeah, looks like YT got its signals crossed on this one.
Bro what are these rudiments 😂😂 Nah got finna take a screenshot to practice fr
Right on, time to shed. I am too. I’m writing 2 of these a week. Just some singles/doubles and a single Shirley Murphy this post.
Looks like I’ll run this rudimental series through March, then on to more drum set content. Subscribe to follow along.
Rudimental Breaks w implements! These are the Vic Live Wire brushes.
Running a flash sale this week! Tons of content over on my Patreon.com/zakbond page.

I miss playing my drums, I used to read sheet music 🎼 🎶 🎵 😊
Responded to your other post too, grab a pad and drum along. I’m always writing stuff, can send you some to read. We have this app out, I can send stuff and you can slow it down or speed up the easier ones.
Spot on dude 👌
Much appreciated!
I used to be able to read the percussion sheet music, and was quite good at it, I was in all the bands from 6th grade thru my senior yr. And even played for the USAF DRUM AND BUGLE CORP. 😊
That’s so awesome. Grab a pad and jump back in, I’m sure your chops are still there!
Awesome!!!!! 🥁
Thanks!

Hey everybody, here’s some stick control triplets for your consumption. Nothing complicated, just posting basics and sharing knowledge. Check out my other series on Daily Drum Set Grooves and Rudimental Breaks for a challenge.
forgive me if i’m wrong, but aren’t those tenor sticks?
They absolutely are. I play tenors, too. Love the weight and feel. I even used them on a marching snare for solo stuff at Blast. Vic Firth MTS1s.
@ me too! i’m also a tenor player
@@monkevr8674That’s awesome! My wife also marched tenors. 🤘🏼
@ niceeeee
Thanks for watching. I have tons of content on drum set and rudimental stuff. Like & leave a comment to support. 🤙🏼

Everybody wants to rule the World 🔥🫶. Just Fire. I can't. How good is this channel. Plus don't stop. You are showering me in Practicing ideas.
Thanks for the kind words. Can’t believe I posted everyday for my groove project. That was a lot of work! I’m on to a rudimental pad series now. Juggling full time band life, writing, and posting all while Beat Note is developing has been a blast. Thanks for shedding along! Appreciate the feedback.
Smooth. I love your channel. 20th video today or so. It's so good with the notation and stuff. Crazy, how few people appreciate the value you put out there. Sadly I couldn't get the app on android but I'll snack many Ideas out of them shorts
Appreciate it! Android is in the works. In the meantime, plenty more content coming here. I also run a Patreon if you want tailored stuff and extras. Haven’t advertised it yet, but I’ve been posting on there for about a year.🤘🏼
Thanks for watching.
Thanks. just downloaded the app - is there a tutorial for locating stick control beats?
Welcome to the community! We have a handful of topics in the Discover tab on the bottom. I’ll publish an article with stick control for you this week. 🤙🏼
Keep those sticks lower and lift high for the accent. I mean lower son! Lower! No sloppy Joes!
lol I do enjoy 3 to 6 or 9 thanks to 12 seasons of drum corps. Check some of my drum set vids, those ghost notes are whispering when appropriate.
Thanks for watching. Hope these slower basic ideas are helping.
I don’t beat to my notes app thanks tho
Clever. Even w filters YT didn’t catch your double entendre.
Really hard to enjoy those chops with random music in the background
Maybe I should layoff making track ideas for these. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for watching! You can support our notation app here: beat-note.app/bond
Is this one easy or too difficult? Any requests, just say the word. I’m on a rudimental video kick through the new year. Thanks for watching. Check out our app, Beat Note to notate on iOS to join the community. Screen shot the vid and visit the QR to DL, or go to beat-note.app/bond
Thanks for watching. Will be at PASIC with our app, BEAT NOTE. Check it out here: beat-note.app/bond
THATS SICK HOWWWWWW
Practice and great teachers. You can play it too, just start slow and work out the mechanics. We have an app to help: Beat-note.app/bond
Thanks man
Triplets and Shirley Murphy's work for me .
AMEN to that. Add some backsticking to those and I’m a happy camper.
Second line is mad
Interesting… is it the paradiddle-diddle with the accent on the second partial? I assumed the 3rd would be a pain with the all left sextuplet.
I immediately heard that one song by Eminem. I don't really know what song it is but it sounds pretty cool
Right on, thanks
You’re thinking of toy soldiers
Gotcha, I gotta go listen.
