I am 7 months in and I have a couple in the back that have dropped, I have had zero slippage, I am not fully loc’d and love my curly ends. I was very nervous about loc’n my hair because I have dermatitis. My loctician recommended washing my hair with glovers shampoo/conditioner and using the glovers ointment on my scalp and what a difference that product has made. I have very little itching and dandruff. Best decision ever!

I have fine, low-density hair. I started my locs with two-strand twists, and it will be one year on Nov. 19th. The budding stage is a bit of an issue for me, and I'm calling it my "ugly phase." My loctician does retwist, not interlocks, and I'm also struggling with unraveling. I'm really glad I found your page.

The slippage around the perimeter is real and so is the shrinkage. But some of them are trying to loc. But they are thriving. 🎉🎉🎉

Ok, I second these truths! I’ve had micro locs and loved them… I installed them on a twa with human hair extensions because I did not want to go through the short hair phase. I cut them off only because I did not have a balanced natural hair to extension ratio. Over the six months duration my hair grew extremely well (surprised me🙋🏽‍♀️) however my natural loc was thinner than the extension portion. I could not carry on that way… But for the reasons you mentioned I am starting my second micro loc journey soon. Blessing to you and yours.🙏🏽💐
