The meaning of the Stotra is very beautiful. Bramaramba Ashtakam by Sri Adi Shankaracharya 1. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri Shailam, who is my most beloved mother, whose crimson colored eyes are filled with compassion, she is decked in crescent moon as her jewel decorated in the hair/Choodamani, she has a fascinating smile on her face, she is the protector of all the living and non-living creatures in the Universe, her attractive nose has the resemblance of fresh alluring flower of Champaka that is marvelously decorated with the nose pin made of attractive pearls. 2. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri Shailam, who is my most beloved mother, whose radiant forehead has the resemblance to moon and is decorated with Kasthurithilakam, she finds immense pleasure in the aromatic juices of camphor and clove from the betel leaves, and she is the manifestation of mercy, she showers her fleeting look full of kindness and provides happiness to her passionate devotees. 3. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri shailam, who is my most beloved mother, she has majestic gait of swan, she has the eyes resemblance to lotus flowers, her lotus feet shines in the luster of the crown of Lord Bhrama and the deities who worships her. She is Raja Rajeshwari who is venerated by the kings; her bosom is decorated with the garlands made of lotus flowers. 4. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri Shailam who is my most beloved mother; she resides in the middle of the divine Sri Chakra which has six corners and she is surrounded by six Yoginis, she is the consort of Lord Shiva, her lotus feet are placed on the six wheels, and she is the symbol of Shodashi. 5. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri Shailam who is my most beloved mother; she is worshiped by Lord Srinatha and protects the three worlds ruled by him, she dwells in the divine Sri Chakra, she is eulogized by the celestial singers, she is the provider of auspiciousness to the disheartened and poor people, she is attired in majestic garments. 6. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri Shailam who is my most beloved mother; she is decked in various ornaments and has the resemblance to the beautiful creepers, she has attractive crimson color, she is served by the deities and her hair on the forehead is divided into two parts and the line is well decorated with the vermilion, she lured the heart of her consort with various emotions, she is the slayer of demon Bandasura. 7. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri Shailam who is my most beloved mother; she is the personification of auspiciousness, her various incarnations are eulogized by Lord Shiva, she has the complexion of dark clouds, she is worshiped by Sages and Rishis, she is the provider of liberation from repeated births to whoever venerates her, she is most pleased to witness the worship of young maiden, she is decked in a marvelous waist belt. 8. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri Shailam who is my most beloved mother; her high raised bosom is smeared in sandalwood paste mixed with camphor and saffron, she has the luster of camphor, she is the destroyer of heaps of Karmas, she is Goddess Sri Kameshwari/consort of Lord Kameshwara who fulfills the desires of her worshiper, she is most attractive, she is Goddess Sri Kamakshi, whose heart soaked in intense mercy and she continues to exists at the forefront of every Kalpa. 9. I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Bhramaramba who dwells in the sacred land of Sri Shailam who is my most beloved mother; she is Goddess Sri Gayathri who has the celestial vehicle carries the flag of Garuda and travels through the sky, she is fond of the melodious music of celestial singers/Gandharvaganapriya, she is majestic/Gambeera, she has the gait of an elephant/Gajagamini, she is the daughter of Mountain/Girisutha, she is worshiped by sandalpaste and scented rice, she is eulogized by Ganga, Sage Gauthama, Sage Garga, she has incarnated as divine cow, Gauthami and Gomathi as well.
