Wisconsin Women in Conservation Webinar w/ Jessika Greendeer, Ho-Chunk Nation Seedkeeper, 11/21/24
In this second webinar of a two-part series we celebrated Native American Heritage Month by learning about the rematriation of seeds - bringing the seeds home to their original Native communities. We joined Jessika Greendeer, a world-renowned seedkeeper who is a Ho-Chunk Nation tribal member from Baraboo. She is a ten-year US Army combat veteran and the recently-elected District 1 Ho-Chunk Legislator. She worked previously as the Agricultural Division Manager for the Ho-Chunk Nation. Now she tends a regenerative Seed Rematriation farm in Hudson called Little Sky's Farm, where building soil is a top commitment with cover crops and compost.

    Nice idea, can be done pretty easily. Question would a metal pipe with holes going through the middle of the wagon connected to the heater would help drying in a more uniform way? Also second question isn't a propane heater directly connected to the wagon would overheat the grain?
