Thanks Stevie! That’s my youngest daughter in her junior or senior year. Believe it or not she started out not even wanting to sing in front of me! Now she’s directing shows with a couple of theatre groups.

It's from the musical Dear Evan Hansen. I suggest you watch the bootleg on yt, it's definitely an experience
“i will sing no requiem” means that she will not mourn her brother because he always refused the love that his family tried to give him. In this song, Zoe says that she will not lie about missing her brother.

@@rubengabrielvaldiviesomach629 Agree- but they did wonderfully for what it was! Many times talent show pianists are just given sheet music, and in high school, it could very well be their first time accompanying.
