Acoustics need work gentlemen

First time seeing this type of blend together. I need to try this combo asap lol. I tried the PMP blend (60% Weller Antique & 40% Weller 12 year) which was great. I'll have to do a 3-way comparison of this blend, the Weller 12 x Weller Antique blend, and the left over Pappy 15 sample I got. Good video, cheers 🥃

What is your grading scale? 0-100 or 0-50? If it's 0-50 then these scores are absurdly high. Benchmark Top Shelf is a great value pour but it's not an 86/100. Benchmark as a lineup is like top class for budget whiskey. When you remove price... it's pretty average whiskey. Most would score like a 55-65 for me. To me, most bourbon reviewers don't have a great scale. Honestly, Barstool Pizza does the best job of all reviewers at giving great scores. An 8/10 whiskey should be exceptional. A 9/10 should be best 3-4 bottles of the year type stuff (and I'm including BTAC/Pappy type unicorns). Even then... The GTS I've tried are usually about a 8.9-9.1. The Parker's Heritage I've tried have all been Ryes but they have been 8.7-9.2. Weller stuff - CYPB is like a 7.2-7.4, FP and 107 are like 7.9-8.1. Blanton's have ranged from 3.0-4.5 for me. I've yet to find a good Blanton's. Blanton's STFB on the otherhand... that's like a 8.5-8.6. I list those out just to give an idea of how I grade whiskey. Benchmark Top Floor is one of the better Benchmarks, IMO. I've had some single barrels that were better than some of the Eagle Rare single barrels I've tried but I've also had some that were incredibly off profile and bad. They vary pretty heavily but 9/10 times they are great. The most consistent of the bunch for me has always been Bonded. That's my goto when I'm traveling and I need to run to a store for a cheap bottle for sipping neat or in cocktails. I'd grade bonded around a 5.5 and top shelf like a 5.7

I can't find Stagg in michigan so I mix 2 parts Benchmark full proof to 1 part Eagle Rare, pretty close in my opinion to Stagg but lower proof. Very Tasty 👍 Cheers 🥃 🤠

The single barrel Benchmark is a pretty good pour. And I’m not a BT guy. I do like the Eagle rare and I’m looking for a Stagg but other than that I really don’t look for it. In my state unless you camp you’re not going to get any allocated bottles and well I don’t camp. I prefer walking in when I want to buy a bottle and get it. Just makes sense to me.

Have to look for it I don't believe it comes to my area. Maybe online purchase. Price certainly is good.

A tad pricey for some of these bundles. Not something I’d buy but you do you. I would definitely go single bottle picks here.

I’ve been blending for awhile now and everything has turned out great. I’m getting ready to blend a so so whiskey with a decent bottle to see if I can make it better. May have to use two bottles I’ll see soon.

This is cool. I just came up with High Breed. 3/4 High West Bourbon and 1/4 Rare Breed. It's really good.
