good job, really informative, but it would have been great to tell us how to know if the injectors are bad and is it possible refurbish them, also for the DPF cleaning , what solution did you use ?

I am usa and want to bring my car to Korea for my VW TDI service.... this is not an automobile repair shop but a laboratory.... Ha ha. Takes the DPF out to clean? For preventative maintenance? Cleans the intake? Removed and bench flowed the injectors. Has all the special tools. Nice. In USA VW TDI driver / owners (like me for 13 yrs) maintain car but don't clean the emission system proactively. You wait for a check engine code and address it. If course you change air filter, fuel filter (massive) and oil & oil filter, rotate tires... that is it. The thing about diesels they are NOT good for short slow speed stop and go. They are designed to get on the road and drive at least over 55 mph or more (way more cruise all day at 80 mph while getting good MPG).

changing head cover gasket wont help for leaking, that plastic composition warps, whole unit needs to be changed. DPF needs to be cutted out, exhaust cooler disconnected and both outprogrammed. The rest well done.

You should've flipped the EGR thingy 180 degrees around to fix the problem entirely. there's a technical document from vw explaining this to vw dealer mechanics. You just notch it with an angle grinder so it fits the other way around. :)

It wasn't that dirty, check out mine! I think is best to remove and clean dpf, egr and the intake system atleast every 50,000 miles. They will never get clogged!

Should have kept it off!! All it does is waste fuel in regen mode and suck power. Makes tdi engines much less efficient which is NOT more environmentally friendly.
