Marvel was always going to recast Tchalla calm down its a film FRANCHISE there wasn't a recast before black panther 2 for a reason, rushing a botched recast for the sake of just putting Tchalla in the second film could of cost them the entire franchise had they failed at an efficient actor cast in the role in the time frame they had to release the film

At this point this movie being able to make the money back is out of question. So THE best case scenario for BNW is that, contrary to many expectations this movie turns out to be much better than a lot of people expected. If that happens then people will start to have more interest again. They will be like “whoa, this movie that I heard so many bad things about turned out to be actually good. If that is the case then these other upcoming movies should also be better than expected.” So in short, the best case scenario is that BNW generates goodwill which helps out Thunderbolts and Fantastic 4.

There absolutely nothing that has been reported that this movie will fail. To the contrary, all indicators point to this being a successful start to a whole new chapter to an incredible Marvel run.

All this shit came about because Marvel refused to recast the character after the death of Chadwick. He was a great actor for the role but Marvel was all too happy to let the character die with Chadwick. We may not realize this, but we all remember how much the character empowered black people, I think they saw this as a good opportunity to disorganize the movement by diminishing the image of a character that was held in high esteem by black folk. That role should've been recast instead of being turned into some DEI opportunity.

I had a commenter argue me down about recast... A real "marvel stan" . He's wants and is confident that T'Challa will stay deleted and Toussaint will be aged up. I disagreed with his stances but I am wondering now if Disney is going to pull it off that way because I wouldn't doubt it

The permanent BP will absolutely be Tachalla's kid. Marvel/Cogler will not let this dumb/contrived storyline go and admit it was a mistake all along. To do anything else would be to treat the final sequence of wakanda forever like it never happened and i just dont see marvel doing that.

I literally just got through reading this series of Ironheart and I have to say that it made me really like Riri's character a little bit. The only thing that I have to complain about is her relationship with the dean and MIT. I don't know why she's angry at them having people look at their inventions, especially when she owes them, like she seems a little ungrateful.

Marvel has an opportunity to be done with all the Wakanda madness during the soft reboot. Though I have no sources, nor is there any chatter about this, I believe Marvel may recast all of Wakanda during Secret War (New Panther & New Shiri) to be done with all the controversy. It makes sense in a multiverse that sees a female Loki as an extension not a recast to do the same with a twist for the Black Panther characters. It could even lead to a female T'Challa popping as referenced by Silvi or Captain Carter. Though I could be wrong.

Even with the recent recast rumours, I've got a feeling Cooglar is going to make a dumb move and age up the son.

The exact same version that Chad played must be resurrected, that's the only way the problem will be resolved, we met a specific iteration of the character on The Infinity saga, and it deserves an appropriate end just like Iron Man and Captain America, when the time actually arrives.

Marvel will soft reboot after the Doom arc and secret wars arc, similar to what happened with Secret Wars and All New All Different Marvel. The main MCU timeline will be combined with other realities creating a new timeline with some remaining continuity and some new continuity. Many of the main MCU characters and stories would’ve still happened, but now there will also be Mutants, the Fantastic Four, and probably some returning characters. The new T’Challa will be a variant or an adult version of T’Challa Jr.

There is always the possibility that Moore and Coogler were told from higher ups to kill off T'Challa and pretend that it was their idea. If so, they should have walked away.

This whole Toussaint deal reminds me of an old Smallville arc where their version of Doomsday killed their Jimmy Olsen, despite him appearing alive in the future working at the Planet, (by same actor) . It turned out at the end of the episode, as "Jimmy" was being buried, he was being referred to as "James Olsen" and it turns out that he has a little brother named Jimmy who grows to become the "proper" Jimmy Olsen who also ends up at the Planet as a photographer. It was such ridiculous storyline gymnastics which was really all for nothing... Just as this Toussaint rumored to be aged up and replacing THE T'Challa.

The Crow adaptations starring Eric Draven continued after Brandon Lee. Eric being played by Mark Dacascos was seen as cool in a good show during the late-1990s. Also, and this is kinda a wild theory, a reason why higher ups were against recasting T'Challa is videos like this. Men. Primarily Afro males. Our voices on this matters, especially Derrick Boseman's voice and what Chadwick Boseman clearly implied with how big the character is beyond him. But what if more women got on video to support this? Especially Afro women? Would the "women of color prioritization" sway the masses more? I cannot help but wonder.

Born from the Extremis serum introduced in Iron Man 3 that LITERALLY OVERHEATS. That main ain't showing up. Despite making more sense than Sabra...... Luke Cage Power Man. Back when SERPENT SOCIETY was gonna be in this has already fought 3 NAMED MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETY. Cottonmouth; Diamondback & Bushmaster. And they killed off one sure... BUT THEY BRING BACK HIS ACTOR .... 🤦 but the other two were still alive. And they recast one. Okay then. Luke Cage is Weapon 6 in the comics he's literally born from CAPTAIN AMERICA'S LEGACY. And both his black Serpent Society members already had their powers established. It's a damn shame. Nick Fury's show had a young British woman (Whom deserves no ill will whatsoever that little dollop of sunshine that Emilia Clarke is), save the day. With the longest running black super hero in film history WAR MACHINE is sidelined. They had a whole cast of multiracial INHUMANS to choose from that are literally DESIGNED TO FIGHT SKRULLS. And you come up with a dumb way to have a white alien come in and beat up the colored alien in a black man's show. When there's literally two superheroes he has on call in Monica Rambeau and Mike Peterson even with War Machine getting shafted. They could have made such a great film about what it means to be powered and colored in A nation divided for centuries over that exact FEAR! but no let's ignore the many non white superheroes recast the black supervillains and then cut them out completely. Good riddance.
