Jack DeJohnette's Special Edition - Ebony (1983-10-21, Sala Kongresowa, Warsaw, Poland)
Masterclass on a strings!
This was a great trio. With Light Henry Huff and Edward Wilkerson! Music from the soul.
Ramsey "The Night Owl" - my man! Beautiful performance!
pfffffff
Pee, did he?
Are Kelly?
Big Fat Gig! Fantastic!
WR in his final TRANSITION from MUSIC of MILES without MILES to a much UNIQUE SOUND of JAZZFUSION
I was there as well, couldn't miss Phineas live. One of the nights after he finished he wen to Bradley's and played some more solo piano. That was a special treat!! Thanks for sharing this!
Miles' chops are in great shape, he does some of the best blowing of that or any other period. The whole band sounds very relaxed, swinging from the first to the very last bar. No dull moment. A great upload, thank you very much!
At 11:38, Roach begins a long solo by playing the rhythm to “Mop Mop” (also known as “Boff Boff”), to which he continues through the solo.
Thanks for sharing. The piano gets a little lost in the reverb but the Pharoah shines in it.
Yes, he shines, as none others ever have. As no others ever will. Farewell, brother Sanders.
What a masterclass!! Warne sketches the entire harmony in his playing!!!
Steve Gadd and his brilliant broken mirror! Fantastic!
So excited for this. Thank you so much for sharing this show. ❤ much love from Michigan USA
Got to drop the bottom of the room in a master. first thing.
Just like fire on the floor! Sunday evenin" gig! Burst!
"Don't laugh at live Dragon!" JRR Tolkien
Incredible recording ! Thank you so very much. Great memories. Please share more if you have !!
Outside
❤️🙏
Groovy Brass Fusion on! Ray The Sway!
1. Blues Minor (J. Coltrane) 2. Shinjitsu (K. Jones)
I was at the show. That was back when you were allowed to bring in your own dinner and a box of wine.
correct title: Borges Buenos Aires.
Thanks so much for sharing! Great rhythm section. 04 "I'll take Romance"
Human Spirit Outloud. Thank you for sharing this concert
WTF!!! Thank you. Great band. McCall!!!
Don't know most of these musicians, except Steve McCall and Rafael Garrett, but the group sounds great. Inspired performance. Thanks for making this available.
fucking legend.
One of the few recordings with Steve Gadd and Mingo Lewis.
Ernle Watts on tenor (at least on some of the tunes)
🔥🎺🎶🙏🏽
The Gig most loved by Freddy!
Evenin' folks! Under the crazy fusion Moon!
I had the Chance to see Wayne Shorter with Tracy Wormworth and Terry Lyne Carrington around that Time in Zürich. Beautiful Memories!
she plays the all blues as inwards as outwards simply grandiose
This Buenos Aires but thanks for posting!
as good as it gets
I think this gig and tour were most amaging, and all menbers of the band likewise. I appreciated to go the tour in Japan, all audience were moved but speachless.
Saturday night fusuion! Plus Bourbon! Cheers!
Thanks for posting this. I have the Ballads album from that period with Levy and Warne. I read somewhere that after a gig - could’ve been this one - in a taxi Lou and Warne were stoned. Lou wanted to unwind. But Warne said to Lou something along the lines of ‘That 7th chord you played in the 9th measure of my 3rd chorus of such-and-such a song should have been a 9/flat-13’. Apparently Lou was stunned by Warne’s intensity and the fact that he never switched off. This date shows another side of Levy. He reminds me a lot of Sal Mosca. I heard Levy with Getz. It was lovely. What Getz wanted but he couldn’t impose himself.
Unstoppable John Lee! Runaway J. Daniels!
First time I had a version of 'Speak' featuring Marcus Miller! This band was so tight!
Whoa! Who was playing keys on Aida??
Miles Davis or Bill Evans
The best concert available to date by WR post Jaco, better than the official DVDs or audio bootlegs. A magical evening, lucky those who were present.(google traslate)
Track one is Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum by Wayne Shorter from the Speak No Evil album
Track 4 I believe is "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square."
Love this band!
