I like the essential idea you've got, but there are a few things that you could do better, 1. Add more rythm to the intro 2. You could use more layers for the violins, such as, a string ensemble, a cello and evem choirs just to fill up some frequencies. 3. Automate the volume for the strings and violins to start just a bit lower than the peak and have the volume go down after the peak. Do it so that the peak comes on the 8th metronome hit in 4/4 signature. Do this to create the breathing effect that hans zimmer also uses in his orchestreal arrangments. 4. Cange the velocity for some notes just slighty to make the melodies a bit more dynamic. 5. Make the listener aware that they are in the intro, build, drop, breakdown and outro by adding sweeps, exhausts and cymbals/rev. cymbals. 6. Add fills before the drop 2:26 feels empty and unsatisfying without just a tiny fill, adding a fill will create movement in the song and glue the different sections togheter. 7. Remember the sidechaining. Hard on bass and soft on melodies. 2:31 sounds very muddy and i assume thats because you didnt sidechain or eq the sub out of everything but the subbas. 8. Add earcandy to some sections (repetitions), which is just small elements like a tonal pad or a shaker, that you can bearly hear. Do this to make the song less repetetive and less boring. 9. I thing you hear in alot of Alan Walkers and others music is that the last metronome hit before the 8th bar, or in this case 2:35 before your second melody starts, you want to stop all sounds and add a big snare. 10. Put a filter on the master that does the opposite of the filter on your lead, but goes back to normal when the fill comes (or in this case when the silence comes) Also a few sidenotes: At 1:54 you play these notes way too long imo, Add more layers to your leads Layer you clap with a clap that has more lowend 1:23 Usualy every 4 bars you want to introduce something new or take something away, that can be earcandy or percussive elements or essential parts of the song like leads or bass or drums. You only introduce things every 8th bar. Get some better sounds, there are free plugins in flstudio called harmless, harmour and flex. You can also get something like kontakt player and get the free orchestrea. Try not to get in the c3 range with your melody thats were the bass needs to be. 1:36 - 1:50 I like this part alot i think you did a great job with rythm and melody but i think it ends very abrupt. By intro i mean 0:06 - 1:05. I hope you can use my suggestions, I usually don't go out of my way to write this stuff, but this is my honest opiniun froma producer to a producer.
