Wake turbulence in dcs is not realistic, and just a pain in the ass, so i leave it off. And besides, its off by default, which is how most new players will play. And yes you are right, the wind does make it more difficult, but the principles are the same. And the good thing about dcs is that we can set the winds to whatever we want to achieve the degree of realism and fun we want. And additionally, its hard enough to learn the basics and get them down well without winds, and it is a better idea to learn the basic skills to do it before you add more layers of difficulty with high winds

Physically moving the throttle out of the off position and into the idle position acts as an input, which can be bound for anything, and same goes for moving the throttle back from the idle position to the off position

@anavan7 if you sidehill a lot of modern SUVs without pulling the airbag fuse they will go off when you hit a certain angle. The videos are hilarious lol

I think it’s a bit more like the huey than the Ka-50, because it’s you are still dealing with the tail rotor and everything. I find it fairly easy to fly though, probably around the same level of difficulty as the huey, or maybe slightly easier.

@@__Whisper__ thanks. Debating whether to pickup the Kiowa or Apache. Level of difficulty wise, which is harder to fly?

@bukhariali71 i find the Apache to be a bit harder to fly, but which one you get depends on what u want to do with it. If you want to do more damage and be able to take out more targets, then get the apache bc it carries much more ordnance, but is more complicated and there are more systems to learn. The Kiowa is a bit easier to fly, and has fewer weapons systems and targeting systems, but cant carry as much ordnance and is more intended as a scout helicopter rather than an attack helicopter, and as such is useful for assisting other aircraft with targeting if u play mp with ppl.

We will probably stream again soon. I’ve been working on a Kiowa mission. We might also do a Left for Dead 2 stream as well at some point

Yes lol they have made up their minds about who is to blame and who is blameless based on one side of the story only. There are only a few people on both sides that really know everything that’s going on. All we as the customers can do is be patient and hope that it gets resolved soon

@@__Whisper__ I would appreciate that. I'd really like to to see how you have it set up in DCS, but in Simmapp pro could be helpful too.

In SimAppPro I set my force setting to 10% for roll, 18% for forward, and 22% for aft. In DCS I kept the pitch/roll curves and deadzones at default (i.e., 0). For keybindings I used one of the default/user made profiles, which makes all the buttons/switches do what they do on the real aircraft. The only differences Is that I use one of the buttons on the front of the throttle for wheel brakes, because my rudders don't have toe brakes, and I also use forward, aft, and down on the NWS button on the stick for zoom in slow, zoom out slow, and zoom normal respectively, so I can zoom in in the cockpit. Lmk if there's other stuff you'd like to know about my setup, I'll be happy to answer any further questions!

It’s a little pricier than I would have hoped, but If you can create a little Kiowa fund and save for it, I would recommend it! I’ve been having a lot of fun with it so far

Right now they only offer refunds for the Strike Eagle. I attempted to refund the harrier earlier today and they said they only refund the SE.

@RealTojo090 but isnt the harrier pretty much a complete module, so u arent missing out on any features that were supposed to be added. The strike eagle is nowhere near done, which is y they are offering refunds bc ppl arent getting everything they paid for

@@__Whisper__ while that is true, the harrier can very quickly acquire bugs. This, unfortunately, has happened to the mirage recently which is a pretty much 100% complete module.
