Even a properly prepped shower still is not easy to tile. It’s messy, labor intensive, and can be frustrating getting everything to line up even with leveling clips. You hire fast and cheap, that’s the quality you’ll get. You should do vinyl panels yourself, save the headache. Leave tile work for people who can afford quality work.
I really hope you don’t pay those guys in front because that In material it might only be couple hundred dollars but oh my goodness that’s bad really bad can you tell people who you hire that might be helpful
Key line here. "I told him". Oh so you hired the cheapest guy who made the claim he could do the job. Instead of hiring someone with a reputation and pay more. You get what you deserve.
This is a typical job well done nowadays. Never done it before, claim your the tile master, watch a how to video in RUclips on it once and lay the tile high on meth and the farts of their own arrogance. Same with all the other construction areas. Do it yourself. Everytime, no matter how big the project is. Hire a few guys for 200+ a day if you must but be the foreman yourself. It's not worth hiring anyone for anything.
That look so much better once he gets the grout in😂😂! I'm not the best tile guy around by a LONG shot. That looks like the work of ten year old. Hope you got it fixed and what you orginally planned for.
On the bright side, you can just cut the drywall out and bring them down in three sections. It'd be easy for me and my help. Fuck, you'd be happy with my worst after seeing this shit. Lmao.
looks like you hired someone (probably low ball bid) told them what to do and never came back until they were about to grout . if i’m jumping with my assumptions then I apologize. but this is usually the case with things like this . 😂
I’ve done bathrooms and tile for 40 1:25 1:25 1:25 years. There is a certain amount of knowledge and skill to do a good job. You did not hire a professional obviously. Lesson learned.
Nice to see the helper we let go of has gone off on his own to make a fortune. Funny how unqualified installers always manage to get a few projects. I wonder what kind of price point hires people like this 😂.
Hate to say it but I’ve seen MUCH worse….. they used F26 to glue the tile to the sheetrock….. the curb was a treated 4x4 they left exposed…. The woman lost thousands in tile alone. But yeah…. That one is crap too.
Everyone complaning you get what you pay for just shove it. I bet this guy was easily within 10% of the median price being asked in the area. Yall are just charging outrageous prices across the board and its difficult as hell to judge based on that anymore.
lol you're a terrible superintendent/GC. Tilework is only done by someone you can verify does a fantastic job. Its a very difficult thing to do amazing and really a jr cannot make tilework perfect like a master can. You can get away with a rando for drywall that kind of stuff because mistakes can be fixed and mudded over, over and over again until its right, but tile has to not lip, be perfectly level and plum so that corners grout line are perfect size, bevels and shit cut perfect so they don't look chipped. You deserve every failure you get if you hire rando tile guy without verification he is a journeyman level in construction in genera.
Omfg I mean my first day tile job in our basement bathroom has some glaring issues but holy guacamole this is beyond terrible. This was a professional contractor? How is that possible.

WOW!!!

no way this is real looks ok for section 8 houses
Its not that bad. Bit of grout... Bit of filler... Jobs a good un
🤦🤦🤦
looks good
Lol, whoever did this had 0 fucks to give 😅
Lol ya it was pretty bad. Sorry dude, thankfully it wasn't a high end job at least.
If the bid is too low…they gotta go!

Yep this is what my bathroom looks like in the basement lol
llol, this is a whole lot of your fault hahahaha
I have just been through exactly the same as you. I’m in uk and it’s cost me £900 to buy more tiles
Rip it out and start again with a contractor who doesn't need to be told how to do the job correctly.
Where’s the oversight? You should be able to see that coming. Looks like a Nextdoor handyman
I can do this with one arm. This is silly. The guy who did it probably dont know about inches. As a European i understand him. 😂😂
There is a universal word to describe bad workmanship like that tiler: Cowboy.
Lemme get this straight, you hired a crackhead to do a tile job?!
Just use some spray foam, it'll be alright
looks like you hired someone (probably low ball bid) told them what to do and never came back until they were about to grout . if i’m jumping with my assumptions then I apologize. but this is usually the case with things like this . 😂

Did monkeys do this job?

Is ok mang i fix it with caulking
Looks perfect to me. He even installed the tile nicely around the valve!
Lol no way someone did that lmao 🤣 😂
tiling over top of a cheap porcelain tub ? kinda defeats the purpose
Pay for what you get!
Its not wrong...its unique
Looks ok

If you’re so picky, why didn’t you do it yourself.
Everyone complaning you get what you pay for just shove it. I bet this guy was easily within 10% of the median price being asked in the area. Yall are just charging outrageous prices across the board and its difficult as hell to judge based on that anymore.
This is why i do it myself. Subcontracting work out is asking for trouble. I hope he didnt get paid.
I work in the restaurant industry, and I know that this tile job is wrong 😂
This guy had no idea what they were doing.
how much did you pay for labor?

I know a company here in KC that wouldn't see anything wrong with that work...
Fuck.... im just so relieved that when I clicked the video it wasn't my tile job on blast 😂
CORY TREVOR HOW COULD YOU HAVE THOUGHT THIS WAS OKAY
You get what you pay for. You should have hired a reputable contractor
Ready for grout, sir!
You get what you pay for! What did you hire the guy for? You should oversee people so that things like this don’t catch you by surprise
Omfg I mean my first day tile job in our basement bathroom has some glaring issues but holy guacamole this is beyond terrible. This was a professional contractor? How is that possible.
Idk about that, they're a video on here where a dude uses dry wall mud instead of grout...
