14% is occupied as of today 8% has on going conflict 92% of ukraine is safe 😐 i serve in 10 brigade anti- aircraft assault unit ... 🇺🇦 Смерть ворогам Слава Україні!!!
Safer* yes. It’s true that not all of Ukraine is at the same risk as somewhere like Vovchansk but let’s not downplay things. Odesa, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih these places face attacks and fatalities, some daily. It is important for that to be documented and shown to the West. I have made clear in my reporting that the East and West of Ukraine live in two different realities though. Life goes on in both Lviv, Kyiv, and Kharkiv but at drastically different levels of threat. Lastly, if you do serve, thank you for that.
How do i get in touch with Alina. I will be in Kyiv next month and would love to see not just the tourist sights
Hello there! You can find Alina through her website at awesomekyiv.com I also have it linked in the video description! She offers a lot of tours that are off the beaten path. Tell her that I sent you! Lol
Wouldn't it be neat if someone really coated some paper with emulsion and canned it up?
You see, it wouldn’t be that hard in theory! Just need to find a way that the chemicals wouldn’t bleed through the paper while it’s rolled up. It’s single use only but I have seen people do little 35mm tin types in their cameras before.
@@DevinSanLuis thats cool af! Tiny tin types! Put it in a polly pocket lol
This was a great review. unlike any other review I’ve seen in its production values
That was the goal! Give the wider community a different look at a camera that has been talked about a good amount!
Hi. Just found this. Sharing with the UAtube sphere.
🙏 always appreciate the Ukrainian support!
Holy crap. I'm about to buy this camera, so I just wanted to see a couple of videos about it. Didn't expect to fall into a video that includes the other great passion of mine. The perseverance of Ukraine and it's culture. I'm even learning the language and it is beautiful. Thank you for this video and Слава Україні!
героям слава! That's the strategy! Draw people in with cameras and my photojournalism and hope they stay for the Documentaries and Interviews! I'm very glad to hear you're learning the language - it's really a difficult task!
I just got Olympus XA, and it is a marvelous little camera. I haven't figured out how to make good photos with it yet, so your photos are a great example. And thank you for supporting Ukraine, this means a lot. It was heartwarming and sad at the same time to see photos of my hometown Kharkiv, wounded by the war.
Thank you for the compliment! Kharkiv is truly one of my favorite places in Ukraine. Having just come back from there again I already miss it! But I will have more photos to show in the future!
I never go out without! 😅 In the days of fakes on the basis of digital shots, I want to make sure I can prove I didn't change anything - this seems especially important for crisis photography in moments of history in the making, in times like the one we are going through NOW! 🎉❤
Exactly so! Having a psychical moment in history will increasingly become important and rare. Film forever!
Yo I think I just watched a short from you with some of the same photos! I love your long form stuff! I totally agree on your take about this being a great street machine! But as an all around walk in the park camera it's a dream. Took mine to Big Bend. Way better than wearing a heavy SLR for long hikes
I love my Olympus XA for street ! You got some sharp shots man! Does your shutter also always go off by accident when you barely touch it? Or is it just me? lol Olympus bro problems. Can't wait to see what you shoot next! If you got a minute, check out the pics I got in my Olympus XA POV Photo Walk video I just posted where I shoot some fuji 400 in mine. Nothing cool and street like your shots, just a walk in the park with ducks and lily pads.
Dang that first shot really set the mood and it kept banging. I love the leading lines you use! I love my Olympus XA! But I have a hard time focusing in time to catch stuff like this doing street. So I usually try to range focus and stop down a lot. I’ve subbed to your channel cuz we’re Olympus bros and I'm trying to immerse my feed in fellow film people. Can't wait to see what you shoot next! Check out the pics I got in my Olympus XA POV Photo Walk video I just posted where I shoot some fuji 400 in mine.
EU and the NATO/US are responsible for this war moving east and encouraging Ukraine. Puten repeatedly told the West what would happen.
Not even close to reality 😂
Lmfao no he didn't, remember he said it would never happen. Even back in 08 he said he had no territorial concerns in Ukraine, including Crimea. Then in 2014 he had no involvement in the war in Donbas. Then in 2021/2022 he said there would be no war and they were just conducting exercises. He said that Ukraine joining NATO would have consequences and was a red line and what not but that never came anywhere close to fruition.
Dude, what an incredable production quality! And your story telling is also insanely good! Makes me want to use my XA right now and more often :) Keep up the great work! And my respect to you and your work in Ukrain!! 🙏☘
Thank you! It was definitely a bit of an experiment but one that really worked out I feel. A good way to keep content on the channel in between a lot of my more serious work. And damn straight use that XA more! Lol
I have a question: is it still focus even if if don’t use the focusing knob below?? Thank you 🙏🏼. Love the photos you took of Kyiv so powerful.
Thank you! The XA will need to be focused with the knob at all times if you want sharp images as anything below F/11 or F/8. However, it is possible to set the focus about where you need it to be, set the aperture to F/11 and not worry about it. I just wouldn’t do that all the time.
My dad had one… he wasn’t known to take many photos so his buying the XA was a surprise… he also had the detachable flash unit and the leather belt case too. I thought I still had the XA but on searching for it I couldn’t find it so I must have given it to a charity shop as I had gone all in on digital… sadly I regret doing so. 🏴🇺🇦
A true loss! It is a fantastic little camera. I also have the flash unit but rarely find myself in need of it! Cheers to Scotland! 🏴
I have the entire XA series , still I do prefer the XA2 for point and shoot, but the XA is crazy good
I have just sold about half of my old analog cameras, one of them was the Olympus XA-3, the XA series are good compact cameras, but I like the Minox 35 ML more which I also sold.
Everyone will have a preference of course. I think the original XA is still the best out of that line. I sure probably do a purge of my camera collection soon too!
@@DevinSanLuis Have you tried the Minox ? Of the five cameras in the XA series some (as I) will argue that the XA 3 is the better choice.
I’ve never used a Minox actually. I’ve heard they are fairly reliable though. Sell me on the XA-3. What am I missing out on? Because one of the largest sticking point for me is having full control of my focus.
@@DevinSanLuis I have never had problems with my Minox 35 ML, but be careful with older models though. 🤣 "Full control with focus" on a XA, not more than with a XA 3 ! If you nned full control, then there is only SLR cameras. The XA 3 and XA 4 is a newer design and have faster shutter speed which often can be needed, the XA 4 can even focus much closer than a XA ! The most "bad" is the XA1 which is very simple.
@@DevinSanLuis I love the original XA. If I was to sell you on the XA3 though it would be that it can meter up to 1600 ISO, if you’re pushing black and white film to 1600, you’ll have sharp photos as the camera will automatically use faster shutter speeds and smaller apertures for wider depth of field at the higher ISO.

Thank you so much for showing us the life of this hero. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.❤💙💛

Heartbreaking and hopeful. I will always support Ukrainians in their fight for freedom. 💙💛 Thank you for this beautiful video.
Thank you for watching! Ukraine needs voices now more than ever!! Calling your congressman and keeping up pressure is the back Ukraine funding is the best thing we can do right now.
Very good video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!

Wow, you're not even monetised. Surely this won't take to much longer. Great job, you've got a new sub.
I appreciate that so much!! Even if I don’t get monetized being able to report and raise awareness are reward enough… however it would be nice to earn something and be able to fully dedicate myself.
Thank you for making this
It truly is my pleasure!
🇺🇦 🌻 🇿🇦 Слава Україні ! Thank you for this outstanding production.
Thank you for watching it!!
Are there still Russians living in Russia's dictatorship who believe that they're liberating anyone in Ukraine?
Unfortunately yes, brainwashing and hatred run deep in Russia

Russians army is poor, the country is piss poor and run by criminals, Ukraine is run by criminals to but I support Ukraines people
Thank you very much for your work
It’s very much an honor for me to do what I can. Thank you for the support!
❤
What a great tribute to an every-mań hero of Ukraine, who’s love for family and country typifies the average Ukrainian fighter. They are all heroes who defend not only Ukraine, but the democratic way of life and respect for neighboring countries, against the evil forces united: Russia, Iran, N. Korea, who want to impose their authoritarian will and oppression on those who value truth and the rule of law. We all need to wake up and realize the threat is here and now, before we lose everything. Support Ukraine and let your representatives know
Beautifully put my friend.
Beautiful
And take 40% of my paycheck for a war i want nothing with. Thanks A hole
Not even close to true but hey, Anytime lil bro 😉
RIP hero. Thank you for helping preserve Yehor's legacy
Thank you for watching and supporting!
One of so many lost on hubris of Putin and the pathetic fools who follow him. His family, and others like his, have my deepest sympathy.
Men his age should be fight wars not 18-19 year olds who have barely experienced life yet.
He will never be forgotten!
You're certainly putting in the work man. love that YT suggested your video. Keep going and good luck!
Thank you! It’s been a great process so far. I appreciate the support and the algorithm for giving me the chance 🙏
Great work my friend and best wishes for the year ahead from New Zealand. Thank You.
Thank you very much! Hopefully it’ll be a good one!
Great video, great photos. Deserving of many more views and subscribers. I'll be just one more. :)
Thank you so much! It’s always heartwarming to see people appreciate what you put out in the world!
Thank you for your work 🙏🏻
It is my greatest honor!
