Green Building Bites: Pitt and Covestro's Circular Economy Program
Hello, thanks for sharing this. I look forward to supporting expansion of your work. We have a called planned with Univ. of PR on Tuesday because we plan to be in PR Dec. 4-9th for meeting and planning for energy saving insulating solutions that deliver public benefit. Does this interest you?
the key thing that šould be stated, that in 3 years time you havent updated so that the avater does not move like stop motion picture along with the screen, its not acceptable. web browsers are capable to render 30 fps on a potato nowadays. but you have set it to like FPS. play some top down games, and revamp this, the idea is cool. but the production is out of whack.
this my history teacher like no cap
I'm putting in a veggie garden at a preschool, and wondering if I could use and stamp hempcrete as a walkway between the beds?
Blessings my most excellent brother Cameron. What you're doing for the hemp community is unquantifiable. It is such an honor and privilege to have worked alongside you in the past. Although we know "Hempin' ain't easy" I look forward to a bright future ahead. I see the day where hemp products are used in every aspect of modern home construction and I can't thank you enough for making this knowledge accessible. 💣🔥
I really appreciate this discussion because although I do speak with people about climate change there are certainly times when I hesitate. A NASA glaciologist had some good thoughts about the communication of science in an interview after the publication of his 2014 paper indicating the West Antarctic Ice Sheet was irreversibly retreating. “Eric Rignot: It’s a little bit shattering to say, “hey this is it”, even for the scientists looking at it. It’s kind of a big step to say “I think this place is falling apart”. Interviewer: How do we communicate this to the public? Rignot: I don’t know, but we're not doing a good job at that. I think most of the scientists are not trained for that, so they've been taken by surprise, they don't know how to deal with that very well. I'm trying to learn. I talk to people from digital media to ask them how do we reach the people? The feedback I get right now is, “you guys really suck at it, you're not doing it right, I can tell that you're not trained to do this. The message is not passing.” You know you talk about these things like [monotone voice] ‘business as usual, this glacier is falling apart. West Antarctica is going to be in an irreversible state of retreat’, and the people who listen to that may not click, they feel like, ‘well he doesn't seem so shattered by this, so why should I worry about it?’ We should be a little bit more vocal and direct about these things. You have some how to take your scientist hat off and take a different hat to communicate that. You cannot communicate to the public the same way you communicate to your colleagues. It has to be a different level of communication.” ruclips.net/video/0nOZwCitHgg/видео.html
There has never not been climate change
Thanks for including some specifications such as weight in this video. I've been binging and trying to find that out. Great informational video, thanks🙂

Coop, As always one of your biggest fans, ME! Wonderful story.

This is really ridiculous. The app is not intuitive. How do we get out of a meeting. Do we just close the browser? I would prefer using Zoom for meetings rather than using this rubbish.
Nice
How is this diff from Zoom?
seriously though? can you move around with a pixel version of yourself in zoom?
@@gamasierra Nope.
How do you record a meeting with this app tho? I think there's no button for that 😅
Thank you for the video Is this platform free? Is there any limit time /duration of conference and limit number of people who can join?
If my students are using mobile phone, can they still join Gather.Town?
pzc15 vyn.fyi
how to end it?
Skipping the tutorial is fine IF you mention how to bring it up! (That's my current problem)
same
Thanks for this simple tutorial on how to use Gather Town for small meetings and events. I especially appreciate your explanation of breaking into small groups to the side. Well done.

And with regards to the comment you made about the economic downturn building officials etc had to take on more work with less resources as cities lost funding. We should emphasize and have a broader vision. In my opinion you guys pushing the envelope of green building codes are doing gods work. Because if you do so properly and you keep your minds open and partner with emerging technologies companies like perhaps Tesla as an example.. you are building a sustainable America. Which is what America needs. Ultimately this will enable to be energy independent, food independent, transportation independent, have a high quality social atmosphere, healthy nature for recreation & human spiritual wellness, and overall makes communities more democratic and less reliant on Wall Street and big banks that are becoming increasingly unstable and of course top heavy.?
So when a new administration comes in perhaps he/she & their administration works on behalf of big industry money that pushes the codes in a direction that benefits their companies and perhaps it may be just out of laziness that they don’t want to deal with the specific our the new complex and efficient codes.?
Sustainable buildings need to push forward renewable energy/high efficiency battery/energy storage. Plus air quality. Plus landscape design and how the codes potentially link together with adjacent buildings to protect the environmental integrity & allow for the proper natural flow of water, wildlife, human parks/recreation. Even in neighborhoods. Additionally the materials in the buildings should include sustainable resources and that might include a focus on the scattered companies from which the construction/misc company sources its materials- these are just ideas for other topics. Understanding native vegetation should be imperative in code too. Building strength & integrity. Rainwater harvesting 👌🏼 Acoustics? That sound very interesting indeed.
