I love the silk sounding in the MD series, beside its lower projection (due to a more balanced sound, especially in the mids/highs)

I bought one a year ago.. I love it 😊 I play medieval, Celtic, classical, Contradance /English country dance etc on it.. this video is a good representation of what mine sounds like. Only complaints are the neck is a little more V than I prefer (but have gotten used to it), and the supercool James tailpiece thing won’t close properly (I’ve read of ways to fix that but just haven’t tried yet as it’s not that bothersome).. I had a KnK pickup put in .. mixed thoughts on that.. sounds wonderful, very close to mic’d, but it picks up every touch of the pick on the strings, as a little “thump”. I’m considering getting the Bourgeois octave mando.

I would love to hear this gentleman play a piece like this on 3 different makers of the same instrument back to back to back. Or same piece on OM1, OM1 T, then OM1 HC. That would be incredibly informative from an online buyer’s perspective.

Beautiful, picking one up today. I have 0 experience, am 62 but my wife plays the Guitar and she will rock I sure. Love the warm sound of this one and the way it looks, helps. I don't like shiny stuff ;-) Very nice tune and performance.

Very beautiful 00042. A pitty they do not produce these « mellow yellow » colour anymore on the top. Same kind of colour than on the EC models. And of course I still prefer the modified v neck too.
