As a former diesel/auto mechanic and detailer I feel your pain it sucked working on vehicles like that and was even worse having to clean up after it. Some people seem to think the cup holder is an ash tray/ spit cup.

In the end it takes less than 10 extra minutes to remove the rest of the stuff to do it

It's not safe to be driven on the road fix it and then charge the customer for fixing it

I'd fix it none of that is hard to do two three grand and your good to go less if you can turn a wrench. It beats spending sixty grand on a new truck.

@ Illinois I don’t know what kind of mechanic you went to a good mechanic today is hard to find we used to have over 8000 mechanics today, however no one wants to be a mechanic. All they wanna do is plug that computer in and find out what winter car however good mechanics are needed and are in need so I urge you young guys get into these cars and trucks learn as much as you can you could even build yourself a hot rod and go racing at the track but learn how to fix these cars and trucks. They are the backbone of our nation and you could have your own repair shop.

Is that supposed to be a capsulated nut it appears they may have stripped that nut and put that on and its place. Further you go the more damage you’ll find !

At least a thousand dollars lesson earned here.

I would never go to this shop just saw another video about chevrolet front end getting aligned and you made the customer do all the work.

My neighbor across the street had her nine year old son change her oil. It wouldn’t run after that. She offered it to me at a really cheap price. I bought it and it set in my driveway until they moved to a different location. I went out and checked the oil level and it was filled clear up to the top of the crankcase. I drained the oil to the proper level and fired her up. She smoked like a demon for 20 minutes, but afterwards it was like a brand new car. I sold it for a very nice profit!

It’s all about sentiment. A piece of junk could be priceless to someone. I’m trying to piece back together my mom’s old truck because of the memories in it. I refused to let her scrap it, so it’s mine now. It’s a 2nd gen Ram, so you can guess what it looks like. Will it ever be worth what I plan on putting into it? Not in a million years. But I don’t plan on ever selling it. Thankfully, it had a bunch of new parts installed before it was parked for the better part of 10 years. I’m hoping to do a ground up restoration on it, so that’s a good start.
