This time I decided to do something new - and show you one of the busiest tram intersection here in Rīga. Through this intersection go almost all our tram routes: 1, 2, 5, 7 and 10. Also this is the last summer for our Tatra T6 trams - so I decided to capture them in their glory, while I can :) The video was shot on 26.06.2024 at 18:00.

New passenger cars unboxing and testing

Bought some interesting stuff on Ebay :) 3 passenger carriages (one of them control car - which I was just craving for!). Also a really cute VT98 All of them are made by Fleischmann Double decker carrigages are pulled by DB Class 215 loco, made by ROCO. Unfortunately it's derailed during testing and I didn't noticed it :(

Lifelike Proto 2000 locomotives are awesome. Unfortunately their wheel gears are prone to crack, so happened and to my loco :( In this video I'm replacing original gears with Walthers gears. You can order replacement gears at Walthers or Ebay. Walthers Part# 920-584408

To my knowledge this is a very model power tooling
In my opinion, the biggest drawback of this model - non-servisable boogey (or may be I haven't figured out how to disassemble it completely). But we'll see how long will it serve. As for shell itself - In my opinion it's ok-ish in terms of molded details, just paint scheme is insane and plastic is just too stiff. But I'll try to repaint it into Rock Island livery one day - we'll see how well it would turn out :)
