If i have to narrow a rod 1mm to fit my application would i also have to have the bearings machined?
You would need to see if the bearing is flush with the rod first.
I checked the bearing width its 16 5mm. The big end width is 21.9mm but needs to be narrowed to 20.82mm. So I should be fine?
I have been trying to figure out the firing order of all major V8 engine series with their cylinder numbering in mind and it looks like there's really only a few effectively different firing orders. Something like maybe 4 different crossplane firing sequences, but not more than that.

I'd be interested in the tig welder give away. I want to learn to tig weld so I can fabricate my own cold side piping and exhaust work. Do you clean and flow test injectors? Do you replace all of the soft parts?? I have a set of ID2000 that came out of my e85 twin turbo GTO that need to be cleaned, new screens and flow tested.
Yes we clean and replace soft parts. We can flow match test them to make sure they're flowing the same, but our machine does not have the capacity and proper drivers to accurately flow rate the many different injectors on the market now.

I'm looking to buy a dyno soon if you had to buy again would buy the DC5000 or the DC7500.
With the amount of higher hp cars we have been working with, I'd buy a hub dyno if I were to do it again. BUT, for a non hub dyno setup, yes I'd go to the 7500. The 5000 with dual rollers on bigger hp wants to spin tires with more load on it.

Ya killing me . I need a tuner that knows what the Hell they doing?? I have no idea what SAE and other standard means?? Is it related to crank hp and rwhp?? I feel like my 05 LS2 built 6.0 6 speed. IMO my final numbers Seem LOW LOW..i was disappointed to say the least with the amount of cash invested. Only stock parts left ..block bored .020 over ,crank and rods.,coils and rocker arms at time of dyno tune. Long tubes, no cats, K&N warm air intake..lol texas speed cam package 228/232 600/600..112°dual springs .,7.4 etc.. has different injectors running out fuel on dyno. F1C size unknown? Too much fuel i think??.PRC 220 Something? Heads, MSD Air Force intake manifold.and a partridge in a pear tree.. RWHP like 454.. motor 540+/-. Torque was pitiful loke not even near 400ft lb?? WTF..expected alot more for near $10K. Am i wrong ????

It's about the setup as a whole, flow of heads, camshaft pairing, intake runner length for rpm range of cam etc.
Does the pair cilinder can fire at same time?
No they cannot. With a 4 stroke or "4 cycle" engine (intake, compression, power, exhaust) it takes 2 full crank rotations to make the 4 cycles. The paired cylinders are on opposite strokes (coming up to TDC would be Exhaust & Compression)

Liked and subscribed. A quick note: you can develop all of the potential firing orders by using your “paired cylinders” list and moving twice left to right, simply changing which of the 2 available you choose each time - some of these are bad (a lot of rocking moment) and some are good. I had heard Ford used the “same order” but numbered differently; thanks for showing that detail. My project involves changing the numbers used on the Ford Mod V8 so that the ECU can be swapped to a Chevy or Dodge without a lot of reprogramming (essentially, I’ll be ignoring Ford’s numbering since it is MUCH easier to think left-right “balance” by referring to even vs. odd numbered banks). Now to compare your video to the Mod V8 firing order….(LS order)
There are issues with all aluminum rods now except Don Schumacher rods. that's why disclaimers are being put in rod boxes about not leaving them torqued when not racing. DSR rods not necessary.
What cam is that? and did you need to put in a stall torque converter?
