My 1939 Maytag Twin Multi-Motor (it is as old as I am!) I decided to put it to work so I made this absolutely worthless no good "Rube Goldberg" contraption to fill this Bucket but it never seems to get full! I started fooling with Maytag Twin Engines when I was 9 years old. I had one powering a coaster wagon then I made a “Go Kart” before that name was coined. I had several of them up until I g...

A ride in my Volvo PV544 B16B Sport
Hey, C&TS is working on 497, and they have 463 and a K-36... Just saying it wouldn't hurt to do this again lol
For restoration they are actually working on 492.
@@insane_rail_lover This is old, but yes! I talked to some guys at C&TS when I visited and 497 was the thought at the time.
Nice to see all these videos compiled together. Was a kid when I saw the individual clips, and adult now viewing the compilation.
A wonderful adventure here for me to love!
33:25 cool 5 chime
Wonder where that whistle took off to. Definitely prefer the one that was more prominent on 497 afterwards.
what time were these videos taken?
1995
@@centerprairie September 30th, 1995
I think I was on that train. I was about 15 years old. This was the pinnacle of the C&TS in my opinion. I miss the good ole days.
Was there a large group from England on this trip? It was in September 1995 and I was told it had a very large group from England that wanted to stay together is why they made up such a long train with 3 engines instead a shorter train with 2 engines.
@@centerprairie sad this will likely never be repeated.
Coal bad. White people history bad. Great video though.
BEST VIDEO EVER 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
👍 what if u hooked up an old motor water pump, do u think u could pump out of a pond? Fill a 200 gal barrel and water my wind break 😬
I’d be on cloud nine IF C&TS sponsored a triple or even a quadruple header up cumbres pass. Have 2 36s, and 2 37s on that train with 27 cars.
If CTS had new cars for their railroad. Here are some names that might help. Tanglefoot Windy Point Tiffany Florida Arboles Pagosa Junction Daniel Ranger Spencer Wilson John Norwood George Kingery Philip Samour Claude Morelli
I'm pretty sure I was on this train when I was a kid. I remember the 497 and 463 came uncoupled a few times because of the size differences between the locomotives. Of course each time this happened the brakes would set on the entire train. I remember them having to back down the hill a little bit to get started again. It was a fun day.
I was told that day that a large group from the UK was why they had so many cars and had to use three engines.
👏👏👍👍🇲🇽
Stunning! Was hoping to see you ride it!
The 90s really was the early golden age for the C&TS
80s as well. IMHO
497: I still rep the OG railroad
Nice work! Magneto ignition?
...taking a nice "clean line" putting that Swedish Iron through its paces...looks like a nice track...good job!
bloody amazing
497's whistle isnt very beautiful. I like its normal whistle better
Coaster Coyote exactly what I was thinking
@@aphotographerfromcaliforni2661 497s 5 chime IMHO sounds more of a NKP/Wabash 5 chime IMHO
@@nicholasmedovich8691 it's a CB&Q 5 Chime
Sweet running engine my friend! Have a great Holiday Season!
I got a brand new one in 1973 for my 15th birthday in Tennessee. It was stolen in 76 in colorado springs......God I wish I still had it,they are just beautifull little bikes.
Another fun road trip. :)
Looks like Volvo P210 Duett. :)
I love the music. Who's the group that's playing? :)
Roger & Over, Denmark
Thank you. I remember watching a video of them singing that song. I'll have to check it out. God Jul. :)
I love engine 497
Thanks for the ride. Are these people you know who are driving the Volvo Duett?
We traveled out to the VCOA meet in 2009 at Ipswich, Mass. from Illinois. Met the owners of this Duett there. They are local to the Ipswich area.
centerprairie Nice. Were Duetts sold in North America? I know that the PV544 was sold in North America, but was the Duett? If Volvo didn't import the Duett, how then were the owners able to acquire this cool Volvo?
Jason Carpp Duetts were never imported by Volvo but some individuals have imported them over the years.
centerprairie Why do you reckon Volvo never imported the Duett to North America?
que maravilla de auto ,mi padre me enseño en el ,daría todo por solo sentarme en ese auto perdonen pero me erosiona solo ver su vídeo y no escribir en su idioma perdón y gracias
What better way to show your classic car off than to drive it on back roads of America.
Wow! Volvo galore!
Awesome videos! How long have you had this Volvo PV544?
Awesome video! I've always liked vintage Volvos. I've heard of the Volvo Duett, but I've never seen one in person. It's too bad it was never sold in North America. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I could find one in good original condition.
Sweet! Nice looking car. I've always loved vintage Volvos.
Still have the car, just returned from the Volvo Club of America annual meet in VT. At 4:52 on video I ask "Where are we?" Answer "I don't know, I'm to busy hanging on!"
Awesome video! Thanks for posting. Do you still have the car, or did you sell it?
It's like being stuck in the back of the car with my Grandad driving!
racing the shit out of that motor. course i guess that's where the horsepower is.
my mind think this volvo comes with B16B type R vtec
Greetings from norway. THANK YOU to the driver and for putting out this video. Really really enjoyed
"My Volvo B18, 210" Search: Roger and Over Volvo B18 210
Whats the name of the song?
@centerprairie Bought a black 544 in 1961, built like a tank, cost $2250, loved it. Traded in for a 122 in 1968, an even better car, cost $2650. Never understood how Volvo turned into a luxury brand, they were economy cars in the the 60's. The 122 was a joy to drive, the faster you went the better it handled. Drove cross country in 69, mostly at 80 to 90 MPH.
you gotta love that sound from that car
Are there any plans after 463 operates for 497 or 492
Brilliant.
beutiful car and lovely weather a trip back in time
A 4% Grade is an increase 4 foot elevation every 100 foot of track. Not bad at all for an automobile but very challenging for Railroaders
i had that bike in my garage. my daddy rode me around on it in 1975
I wrote a letter to the boss of raging moose company, that he spend a tripod to the frontman at the cam ;-)
Oh, my god, where is the tripod for such a hot spot ?
Todaylight dude give him a break. This is 1995, 23 years ago
