Agreed. They lean pretty heavily that way. Although, I've re-rolled my tasks a lot to get Last Hero dailies. Not sure about the later tasks that might be tied to Ref, but the dailies can be Last Hero...although I know sometimes money can be a limiting factor there to constantly re-roll.

Hey! Yes, they did. There's been a looot of changes with Arena. Going to make an updated guide here soon. It's like a totally different game from launch. Held off on making one for a while because they changed a lot so quickly. Seems like they've landed at a good spot for a while finally. There are still some default presets for each class, but they don't lead to any progress on a tree anymore. It's build you own class a lot like CoD now.

@@ThrobRoss No worries! The preset system is a little confusing at times tbh, but seems like it definitely helps the game play better overall. Nice!! It definitely helps too with the progress linking back and forth as well. Way easier to get XP and level skills. Seeing you PvP get a little better in the main game too?!

That's a buff from when you max out your Search skill. It gives you a chance to instantly loot instead of search. It's not guaranteed, but a high chance. Hard to max out, but obviously running a bunch of raids a lot of the full time streamers get there. Best way to try and get there is crates as often as possible.

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to comment. Made my day to know I was on the right track with this video. And, really appreciate the sub. Before Arena it really did feel impossible at times to get better at Tarkov. You HAD to take fights, but sometimes you don't want to because of loot and whatever else. I took last wipe off and I'm stupid rusty. Free for all has been a life saver. Crazy how much Tarkov is when you get a little aggressive, right? Glad to hear it's helped you so much. How's the wipe been so far otherwise?

That's a good point. Definitely plays into it. Think it's just a generally looked over FPS skill at times as well. Think a lot of people only go with see enemy > then engage. Not always the right call especially if they're coming around a corner. Add in desync and you're spot on. I'd love to see some kill cams in Tarkov. I get why they're not though. Think it would give an unfair advantage and info to the squad that eliminates you? Curious to see what you think.

@@SoopChefTV well, unfortunatley i think kill cams should exist, maybe at end of match replay if it could be cheating for the teams but as far as arena goes. yea there is lots of cheating. Started asking people in games and in 1 out of 4 matches one of my teammates openly admits to cheating, whether it be aimbot or wall hacks, usually wall hacks but will toggle aim if need be. so if thats 1 out of 4 on my team, likely 2 out of 4 games including the enemy team, and thats JUST for people who are WILLING to openly ADMIT to it in front of everyone, so im defintely leaning more toawards 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 4 games will have at least one cheater. the kill cams have been a great eye opening experience to how much is actually happening on a no risk arcade style game, so i can only imagine how much in regular tarkov. but yea kill cams have let me know how much desync there actually is and how many hackers there actually are.

Hey! They definitely used to be a lot harder to find. Seems like they've upped the spawn rate over the past couple wipes. Still in the top tier loot pool, but they can still be a bit elusive. Especially when you need them the most.

Thank you! Glad you're enjoying Arena! I was the same way. As soon as I played a couple rounds I was hooked pretty hard. Yeah I really hope that was the only wipe unless they introduce big changes to the presets really often I'd like to see it stay constant. Would it mainly be having to unlock presets over and over that annoys you? I can't put my finger on what it is about it that bugs me, but I just can't shake it.

Thank you for the TLDR. I'd say 2 is really more about swings. Less about peeking. The peeking part really isn't that hard. Swinging is a hard skill to master.

Hey! No problem. I actually have a longer form video that goes over some of this stuff that could help. Anxiety really is such a strange thing. Especially when it creeps into your Tarkov raids. I get the same thing sometimes. One of the things that can help is just take in whatever equipment you got on your scav and just go into a raid with that loadout so you don't feel like you're losing much. Helps just get back in that flow. The good news is with all those scav raids I'm sure you've built up a pretty good system to make money whenever you need it so try and remember that even if you lose some gear it's not too hard to earn it back if you want. By the way, I totally get being anxious about PMC raids. Sometimes it just feels like an uphill battle. Best thing about Tarkov is you can play it however you want, but I think you can get back out there if you think it's something you want to do. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!

This is a great point. Wish I would have included it in this video. Desync is a great reason to prefire. Crazy how when you do that sometimes the player won't even fire back and it's probably because you aren't even on their screen yet.

Not sure what you're trying to get at here. I've more than gotten my money out of Tarkov. No issues there. Just think Area needs some clarity on the vision for it to succeed. Love that game but see people dropping off if the comp part isn't squared away.

@@moodyshooty I still find it really useful in close combat. Personally, think it can still be helpful for a lot of players or maybe some people that aren't as solid with their tracking on a 1x. Removes an input from the equation. Do you more specifically mean it's not as powerful as it was? Happy to tweak my opinion on it.

This is also debatable. While it is harder to point shoot currently, it is much more controlable by the player, as patterns were significantly reduced from their RNG. You can see that many guns follow first shot patterns that help recognition of the point shooting. This has made point shooting with marksman rifles much easier as it doesn't take much time to learn the patterns.

​@SiulSC not actually debatable. Point firing received a big nerf while ads received a buff. You can still point fire and it still works. But the Stat changes are in regardless.

Point firing definitely isn't what it used to be before the recoil changes, but still can be way more helpful to most players. Especially, when they may not be used to using the mechanic. If you're pushing a room for example, it's not worth taking the time to ADS. You're going to be back in the lobby before then. Or, if you're holding an angle you're going to using an optic, but it's still one of the more useful mechanics in my opinion.

@@SoopChefTV I disagree. Though you make one good point. Pointfire will have it's occasional use case, such as barrel stuff surprises. However, even clearing a room in close quarters is easier with a 1x ADSed. Pointfire clears come with the added benefit of moving slightly faster, but the cons are too much. Pointfire does not shoot perfectly center, it shoots a bit low. Also, where you are pointfiring changes depending on how you are moving. Moving left? Pointfire lands right of center and low, with no reticle, and vice versa. You might have a laser if you brought one AND remembered to use it. Whereas, shooting ads gives you a reticle, and is incredibly quick with low ergo. Negating all the cons, except that you do move a little bit slower. I assure you, with a couple thousand hours since 2017, I would much rather take a close range clear with an ADSed 1x over pointfire right now. That has not always been the case, but it is now for sure.

Tarkov arena pvp is very different. That said what helped me was learning to reposition with map knowledge and something huge I learned was to rotate on enemy's during engagements you can get distance and rotate. Scopes help a ton with this.

Yeah! Think it will help a lot. Takes a long time to get the muscle memory down, but it can make a world of difference.

Absolutely agree. Count down or make them lootable on the map. Wouldn't have a problem with them if there were some sort of counter, but no game mechanic like that makes them wayyy too powerful. Haha it was cool. I was honestly just incredibly impressed they timed it that well. Couldn't even complain about it. lol

Thought about it. Honestly, kinda scared to do it just in case it gets out there. The preround nades are tough.

Lol agreed. Scout seems like the best in the game so far. BS has been lettin me down a bit here recently though. Trying to finish off the Weaver kit tree grind. Got distracted leveling all the other trees over the past month. Be interesting to see if it still stands out after they do some balancing like adding ears to more of the other class presets.

I realllly hope we get some comms from them on that soon. Curious to see how they handle it. If they do wipe, I sort of hope it's all new kits. Not having the same grindy stuff that Tarkov has is a big part of the appeal I think. Nice to have a fun, competitive place to play the game. Long-term I'm not sure the game needs wipes. What are you thinking?

@@SoopChefTV I personally think it should just not be a game that wipes, makes no sense. Like what if Warthunder wiped, you grind a tree to get the coolest top tier thing and it just wipes in six months, doesn't work.

@@schmeatballz7319 completely agree. I could see one when they unlock the rest of the game and maybe rearrange some kits with some balance changes, but long-term it doesn't need to be. Maybe some incentives or cosmetics if you want to reset a class after maxing it or something. (idk just throwing stuff out there) but I hope they don't wipe the whole game. Hoping they follow other ranked games and do the ranked in seasons or something so it's something new to grind, but wipes like the main game don't seem to make sense.

Hey! Thank you so much! Scout it my main as well. Down to Weaver and enjoyed it soooo much. Agree with you on the grenades. I swap over to Assult sometimes and I'm thinkin "man this is nice to get a few elims with grenades every match." Been maining Marksmen since the last event and got down to the RSASS kit so far. It's stupid fun, but with everyone a little higher on the kit tree it struggles a bit with the ammo it has. Going to keep messing with it though. Definitely recommend that grind if you're looking to play something new for fun. Definitely want all the scouts now though. Appreciate you taking the time to comment and sub!!
