@jean683-y8k Ta. I'm normally dead careful but the side vent 2" by ¼ inch ish was blocked by a bit of plastic. 🤫Going to split the heater up in to tank, pump and unit. The pump is loud for my van

That's such a creative idea! I bet it adds a nice natural touch to the van. How did you find working with it? Did you secure it directly to the ceiling, or did you use a backing? Might have to consider that for future updates-thanks for sharing! 😊

@@jean683-y8k used some wooden slats that I screwed the rug onto. It also insolates, because it has rubber backing. 😉 U can c a little part of it in my profile pic here.

I’m experimenting as part of the budget build, so it’s great to get input like yours-I'll definitely look up John Virgo’s videos, thanks for the tip and the encouragement! 😊

Walls need to breath, Iv never used a vapour barrier and never had rot issues! A good air flow front to back is all that's needed!

We've been building campervans for 15 years and have never fitted a vapor barrier.. you don't need one. A lot of Greg's advice is bad... really bad. A vapour barrier will trap moisture

We might give this setup a try first, and if it doesn’t hold up, we’ll look into redoing the insulation later.
