The birth mom is the bad guy in this story. Maurice never knew that she was pregnant or that he had another son. He was just 17 years old at the time Nick was conceived. She put Nick up for adoption and didn't meet him until 2003, the year his father passed. Patti (the mom) told Nick some other guy was his father (a man named Chris Andrews, 24 years old at the time of conception) Patti was known for being a worker at a music studio and she was known for sleeping around with famous men. Nick spent 2 years building a bond with Chris Andrews until DNA test proved he wasn't his father. Patti didn't want to tell Nick who the real father was. Patti's sister was the one to reveal that Maurice Gibb was Nick's father. Patti got very upset with her sister for telling the truth. She keeps telling the media that Nick lies about everything. DNA test proved that Maurice is Nick's dad because he matched with Adam, Maurice's other son. I'm sure Maurice would have accepted Nick into his family if he ever knew about him. I feel really sorry for Nick and Maurice both in this story... They deserved better, they deserved time together.

I absolutey loved and loved the BeeGees but they are only human. Robin had a love child with the housekeeper. He admitted that even though his son still won't accept it, and many musicians had brief affairs. Look at Mick Jagger or the Rolling Stones for instance.

We went to see them last night, absolutely amazing! 42 years since we saw them in Birmingham as teenagers. They are as good as ever!

Just watched Rick’s set at Glasto and immediately noticed how great the drummer was, said to my missus ‘just imagine being in a band with a drummer like that’, I had to find out who is this guy! Absolutely superb musician

The way Nick moves his face and head, plus how he holds his head reminds me of Maurice. They have the same mannerisms. :)

I just wanna say that the Genesis records where Steve Hackett appears are the best of their entire discography. He was a hero of mine when I was learning guitar in the late 1970s-early 1980s.. His solo in "The musical box" out of "Genesis live" was my benchmark for guitar excellency. And he is still a giant of the instrument.

He has to be Maurice’s son. Reminds me of him. Having adopted grandchildren, the kids are encouraged to meet with their birth parents. Open adoption takes the mystery and wonders away from the adopted child. Then I found out my father was adopted after not knowing for 50 years. DNA leads me to my birth father’s family. He passed away in his late 20s. The family struggled with the outcome
