Pathetic and they call them self's hunters first shot hit the left fore sholder not enough meat salvaged of that to get 6 burgers second shot passed through the rib cage and nailed the the right shoulder because the moose was on an angle you guys got alot to learn about clean shots.
Aside from the "predator vs prey hunting" argument, the problem with taking long range shots to harvest animals is the likelihood of missing your mark by 6 inches and causing the animal to suffer. Anything outside of 300 yards is just reckless & unethical.
All the fudds and keyboard warriors in here saying that this is unethical and isn't good sport. Firstly, what defines a "sporting hunt"? Is there a certain range limit? What weapons are you allowed to use? What species are on the table? In what exact ways does a hunter need to act for it to be considered proper? Is any hunting fair unless it is meticulously stalked until you are close enough to hit it with a rock, which gives it the best chance to escape? All of these comments are utterly ridiculous and are from people that most likely spend all of their time "hunting" from a tree stand shooting game from 40 yards away in a field. Hunting SHOULD be ethical, but hunting is more important for conservation and natural maintenance than your perspective of ethics. If people only hunted as you described, we would not have any hunters because almost nobody has the time, finances, skill, drive, and resources to hunt in that way. Additionally, telling people how they can or cannot hunt is extremely arrogant and entitled, especially when you are most likely not capable of replicating those same feats. I don't want to hear about how you "REAL bow hunters" took a deer at -16 yards with a primitive bow and an arrow made of sharpened wood while being covered in mud and feces makes you a real man. Nobody cares. Hunting is not about being a man, but about doing what is good for nature and encouraging self sufficiency. Now please, shut the fuck up.
Way to go, teaching people how to be irresponsible slob hunters like you. Moose are dumb. You can walk right up to them. They are not there to be used for target practice by douchebags with something to prove.
Hunting for sustenance is the earthly way...but laughing mockingly while a living being dying for you is trash...Good ole American bubba's way....We shall laugh the same way when your emphysema and its oxygen tanks show up in your later days Mr.
a bit reckless for sure,... but no question,... the shooter can accurately point a gun,.... consider this tho, real hunt skill is in locating and closing the distance and connecting with that challenge. Difference between rifle and bow hunting of which I have done both all my hunting life. I never really got to know critters until I started bowhunting.
Well done gentlemen quick and clean and really impressed to see the marksmanship AND bullet of a hot ass round like a .338 mid air at all as much velocity it has. As IV8888 says, butt naked speed
As long as the animal's meat and other parts are used to feed and good use by people, hunting is ethical. It is no different than predators hunting their prey in nature. The other important fact is that hunting is maybe 1% the shooting and 99% going there, finding the legal game, waiting patiently for the right ethical shot, skinning and butchering the game, etc. The last part and the amount of effort and time it takes definitely makes the hunter to really respect the game and nature as it is no easy job by any means!
900-1000 yards is where the 338 Lapua excells it was designed as a sniper round that has a maximum effect range of 1600 yards but has been used effectively well past 2000 yards A 338 Lapua will push a 300 grain bullet at 2800fps/mv In the hands of a competent well practiced shot a 960 yard shot on a moose sized vital area is both ethical and very make able. With a 300 grain bullet a 338 LM still has very close to 2k foot-pounds of impact way more than enough to kill anything in North America
Mussle pressure is unknown for lapua but that’s an easy shot to see! The arc is aggressive! I’m looking at distance again overall nice takedown! That was a tank!! Good work!
Damn, that big guy took two lapua's and was still walking around, what a stud! Don't know what moa is on that round but you can clearly see a hell of a lot of drop downrange.👏👍

pathetic
Fucking idiots made the moose suffer!!!!
Some people call that hunting.
They were actually laughing.
At that distance it only has about the same amount of energy as a 243 at 200 yards.
😂
He was done with the first shot. Congrats!
Why post this shit?

At 1700yards it pull out of your shoes

What does moose taste like?
Hunting for sustenance is the earthly way...but laughing mockingly while a living being dying for you is trash...Good ole American bubba's way....We shall laugh the same way when your emphysema and its oxygen tanks show up in your later days Mr.
That wasn't even close to 960 yards.
Great marksman. Shitty hunter.
Hell of a nice bull..congrats! 😁😘
In my day we just learned how to hunt

960 yards? How many times did you shoot it? Unethical hunting just to bragg and post it on youtube...morons!😅

For a round that is meant to be armor penetrating at 1000 yds, I can only imagine the damage it did to that moose
Why??? Why???
It's fine if you're going to eat him 😮
Really snuck up on it 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
What a shot!! I don't think I'd have taken it. 950 yards is way past my shooting range.
I got one but no 900 yd shots here
Should have zoomed out to show exactly how far that was, 960, you are a fucking shot there buddy. Wow
Gud hunt but i dont agree with celebrating a life has been taken u shud be giving thanks instead for the sacrifice that moose made
great shots 🫡🇺🇸

I’m glad I’m not on that end of it. Wow what a shot placement
Is it just me or could I see the shockwave of those bullets clear as day?
That’s a long fucking hike to pack out a moose
Suck it!
.338 Lapua is a savage round. hell of a marksman behind that rifle.
Far beyond my capability. Wow.
Meet the animal on its own terms you will find out your not so strong. Why shoot an animal minding it's own business. Loser. 💯
The hunt was over for me when you fired the second shot, you hit him perfect 1 st. wtf are you doing bro ??
Very nice ! Thank you so much for sharing!

Wow this comment section is toxic as fuck. 😂 whole lot of backseat hunters here. Congrats on that incredible shot!
338 lapua... soo much weight going down range. Thats so Cool.
That was a nice first shot!!!!❤❤
Re watching that was atleast 30 inch arc! What were you shooting bullet wise?
Mussle pressure is unknown for lapua but that’s an easy shot to see! The arc is aggressive! I’m looking at distance again overall nice takedown! That was a tank!! Good work!
inhumane to attempt, you arent able to reliably fix a miss and we all know shit happens at that range
Damn, that big guy took two lapua's and was still walking around, what a stud! Don't know what moa is on that round but you can clearly see a hell of a lot of drop downrange.👏👍
Just a shooter but not much of a hunter! How many animals did you miss to get this video! How many wounded animals not tracked? Zero respect for you!
960 yards, nothing quite like 'fair chase'
