The old one is fairly worn out. Replaced with the same size.

Most accidents probably happen when we get tired and not as focused. Like you said, Cutting wood is something you have to do and learn from. All the safety equipment in the world can't teach you how to cut wood. Not saying safety equip. is not important but that common sense and good techniques and experience will keep you safe generally. How many cord of wood will you need for heating or do you sell some of it? Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
It would take 6 full cords (+) to heat the house for the winter. I only split for myself and friends.

It has been nice weather.
Pretty place you have. There is something relaxing cutting your yard sometimes. I used to mow mine with a push mower but after about 20 years, decided to get a riding mower. have an old Snapper propelled mower that I have just left in storage for years now. I don't know now but Snapper use to make some great products. Have a Blessed Day Frind! Justin

Randy I’m glad that you enjoyed “riding along”. It’s one of my favorite things to do. I would ride again next week if someone wanted to go. I’ve been blessed to share the ride in person with many family members.

Do you know the age of the engines they use ?
They were built in the early 1920’s so they are 100 years old.
Did the train drop off any hikers or campers on the way up to Silverton ?
Not on this trip. We were on the third of three morning trains. I would guess that hikers go on the earlier trains.

I agree! I would ride more often if I had those around that want to go. It was a longer train than I have been on before. Sections of the trip took two engines.
