The guy that played Zeg did a good job.
If that was the slaver, yes.
It's the failed Marty mcfly hopefully he wasn't rude to these people or tried to hurt them
Good Review….🤗
Thank you
I fucking loved this movie as a kid
One of my favorites
I don't care what anyone says, I liked this.
Okay yeah, I get it where you're coming from. And it's completely fine feeling weirded out by the idea of having songs in movies like Indian movies. Sir, for us Indians or basically South East Asian countries in general, Art is in our DNA, Art is our culture, we express ourselves with Art in our day to day life, we're feeling happy we sing we dance, we're feeling sad today, we'll sing sad songs, song plays in our mind all the time. Many of us when angry would just dance our frustration out. And movie is an Art, so to express what the characters are feeling we show songs and dance. Coming to this movie, I don't think a single song in this movie is out of context, or just is there for no reason. Ghoomar you said right was a ceremonial song. Khalibali song with Allauddin Khilji was also not there without any reason, it was to show his excitement of him to soon capture Great Queen Padmaavati, also represented In the lyrics as well. His wild raw nature was depicted so well in this song with his wild and tribal sort of dance. And in Binte Dil too, he was shown how evil, lustful, self obsessed he was (like he watches himself in the mirrors from all angles), how he treated servants (the way he puts perfume on the servant and rubs her against himself). The Holi song was also again a Festival, so is it even a festival if there's no song, no music?
Thank you for the explanation. The best thing about watching movies from other countries is the opportunity to learn about different cultures. I enjoyed the movie and plan on watching Ponniyin Selvan in the next 2 weeks
have you watch another Timo work The Night Comes for Us ?
I don’t think so
I was hoping this was a movie clip.
Sorry. This was one of the few pictures I could find for the thumbnail
@jailbyrdearlentertainment That's okay
Their movies used to be on TV every Sunday in the 70s and 80s. Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein was the most popular movie of 1948.
I remember watching this movie on PBS on a Saturday night. When I was a kid on that day they show horror movies at night. It was a movie or two. Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein was awesome
I remember those programs. I’m from Indiana. On Saturday night a guy dressed as a ghoul named Sammy Terry would show classic horror movie.
@@jailbyrdearlentertainment oh wow, that sounds cool
I loved the movis also all of the Abbott and Castello movies
I love this show. It's the only series I've watched twice in a row. I like it with subtitles, but I like the dubbing too! I cheered at the end of the final episode when the graphic revealed a Season 2!
I must have missed that. If a season 2 comes out I’ll probably watch it.
I had my doubts, as allways, but the serie is very well written and acted. As expected of a korean serie. What took me by surprise was..., as a fervent watcher of 'Joseon-history' series, that in present-day life the old social ways of behaving still are so very noticeble and displayed. Sometimes to my understanding even liking, but there are moments I would say: stop! We live in another time rightnow...that kind of behaviour is not needed anymore and not even appropriate.'
I actually remember seeing it in the theater and saying something like "Five bucks for this movie was a raw deal!" (I guess I thought I was pretty clever...sigh...)
I love raw deal, when i was a kid in the 80s predator running man and raw deal were my 3 go to movies also commando, so really its the weakest of these films but i still enjoy it.
Running man & Predator are top notch
@jailbyrdearlentertainment it would be hard to shine inbetween running man and predator, arnie was Gold in the 80s and early 90s but there inevitably would be the sub par films, if you haven't already fright night 1985 would be a good review
@paulbirkbeck1790 I think I watched it back in the 80’s. If I can find it I’ll rewatch it.
@@jailbyrdearlentertainment thanks, it's still a really enjoyable movie
@paulbirkbeck1790 I’ll keep a lookout for it.
I fucking loved this movie! While it does share the time loop idea with Groundhog Day , I always looked at it more like a video game.
It does have video game feel.
I think you just don't "get it". I'm old, I was fortunate-enough to have seen all the Leone films, the other spaghetti westerns, and The Hateful Eight all first run in the theaters. GBU is by far my favorite, and best use of music in a film EVER. Yes, saw this about 10 times in the theater, and just ONCE did it have an intermission.
Thank you for sharing. I find it interesting about that there was only 1 time there was an intermission. I guess theatre owners get to decide if they want to add an intermission. If they have an intermission it’s less times they can play the film. If this film was played again in the theatre I would go see it. These Leon films have excellent music.
Italian viewers liked longer films; US distributors figured longer films were less showings per day, and less popcorn sold. GBU was cut 15 minutes for USA before Eastwood, Van Cleef, and Wallach could record their voices back in 1967. In 2003, MGM Studios (current owner of the producing studio, United Artists) in association with Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, and original producer Alberto Grimaldi, painstakingly restored the original 3-hour Italian version using the 14 minutes that had been previously cut (and used only as a supplement on the DVD). Because these scenes had never before been dubbed into English, Eastwood and Eli Wallach (as well as voice doubles filling in for actors who had since passed away) were brought in to re-dub their lines into English.
I love this Krama🥰
A lot of people love this drama. I just couldn’t get into it for some reason. Perhaps, my expectations were too high.
I appreciate the idea but.... Don't ever dissect purity.
OMG...you have MOTION SMOOTHING ON...! Nooooooooooooo!
Dollar trilogy all three great western movies perfect in all aspects
An extremely poor "review". Besides, we've seen the film; no need to walk us through it.
Thanks for the input
The He Man budget really screwed this movie. No wonder Reeve never went bk, shame. Not that interested in Gunns SillyVerse tbh, looks like he went cheap on everything and most will be cgi to try "fix" everything post production. There's so much more I could say about Gunn too and obviously the "Snyderverse", but I felt the Snyderverse should have been left alone to grow over time and tweaked accordingly to fans tastes instead of a jarring 90 degree turn into the SillyVerse from JL onwards. Imho I'm waiting for the real DC Rebirth that respects the past, same with Gunns fans too, no respect and call themselves the real fans? No we are ALL fans, so they should start acting like it. All the best with your channel ✌
Thank you for the comment. Cannon put all their chips in on this one. The failure of this movie probably saved us from a horrible Spider-man movie. I enjoyed the first Snyder Superman movie. The other movies feel like Snyder tried to put too much in a movie. His universe probably would worked better if it was made into multiple miniseries
@@jailbyrdearlentertainment No problem. Yeah the whole "Snyderverse" thing, WB wanted Avengers money too quickly, so done a trinity movie for BVS with nods to TDKR and Death and Return of Superman story arc into JL which never happened until ZSJL. But honestly I see people going Snyders writing is crap etc, well Goyer/Nolan wrote MOS and Goyer/Terrio wrote BVS, so the hate towards him from certain fans is unwarranted and tbh the Universe never got a fair chance and was ruined afted BVS into all kinds of silly. Now we have Gunns Universe and talking of crammed, Superman has MUCH more characters in it than MOS, Guy Gardner GL, Mr Terrific, Hawk Girl, Supergirl, The Authority Engineer, Lex Luthor, Waller, Krypto, Ch'p GL, Ultraman or Ulysses it looks like from photos and so on, it crammed to the max for a supposed reboot and 1st movie and yeah the suit is terrible baggy rubbery wrinkly cheap looking for 2024 and looks just like starlords but with the 🚫 symbol? No vision whatever, but I'm guessing it will be stupidly silly fun. All the DCEU needed was time to grow and tweaked and we were getting New Gods Darkseid JL movie etc, crazy how some fans turned away from that, too in tune with Marvels recent lighter tone movies imo. No movies are perfect but I prefer a more serious tone to my DC movies, but certain youngsters just want the silly instead, I compare that to kids wanting McDonald's every day, but adults need their Italian restaurant meals too or whatever some prefer, but now the kids and others are all, but I want McDonald's and you have to eat it too, I HATE Italian restaurants lol So yeah DC is a mess just now and it reflects in the fandom and imo the kids and others can't always get what they want, but the Universe should be for all, not just the few. I'd have liked if WB did a Black Label Universe in parallel with the main Universe like in the comics with the old Vertigo/DC Black Label stuff, there's room for everyone...hopefully. 👍
Nice review! I just rewatched it on Tubi. I haven't seen this movie in years, I first saw it when it came out. It's pretty good despite being really cheesy and contrived at times lol like the guy playing Haman talking the whole movie like he has a sore throat 😂 but the love story between Esther and the kind was actually so moving. I liked that she caught his attention with a love story that appealed to the romantic in him. It felt more special and personal. The scene where Esther enters the throne room was everything though and the kings face the whole time of panic, heartbreak, and painful indecision was really great acting. Beautiful 😍
I didn't watch it.. But everyone says it's good. I wanted something different for this actor. I wish to see him in serious, mature love story, like gangster falls for female detective, or judge, or prosecuter, even for daughter of a rival.... Forbidden love story about love so strong that wins everything. I'm a fan of forbidden love stories. Have you ever watched french movie: Le silence de la mer. (american version: Suite francaise). I want that devastating love story, but with happy ending. (It doesn't have to be a war story, just forbidden)
The show is good. It can be a little cheesy at times, but overall it was a joy to watch.
Yes I watched it for the 1st time last night and enjoyed it, btw you didn’t mention that the gold digger was Susan Hayward.. Cheers from 🇬🇧.
Thank you watching. Yes, I completely forgot about her. Cheers from 🇺🇸
0:30 - I just watched Jason Brant's Deathstalker marathon and that scene was in Deathstalker 1......and then reused in all the sequels and many other Corman Sword & Sandal sequel films.😆
I have an old photograph of The General on my wall 😊
That’s cool
@@jailbyrdearlentertainment You should visit the graves of the Union spies that stole the train. It’s in the Veterans Cemetery and has a statue of the General in the middle of a circle of graves. Fess Parker was in a movie about the train chase. The General was housed in Chattanooga for many years until the state of Georgia sued to get it back. It’s now housed in its own building. I used to live around there.
I felt the last few episodes rushed the story a lot, the case gets solved, they break up and also get back in the relationship, the parents finally realise that she's their daughter, her friend gets engaged, like whyyy it was good and then they just gave us everything in one go...I agree they could've sorted the story out a lil better, But it was still nice tho!
Thank you for your comment. Are you looking forward to Love Next Door or are going to watch something else?
@@jailbyrdearlentertainment yep! Waiting for love next door! 🤞🏽✨
i honestly love the general, i watched it a few times. i can't get enough of it. another great Buster Keaton film is "Steam Boat Bill jr."
If more Buster Keaton movies pop up I will be watching them.
I think it's funny when americans criticise Leandro Hassum claiming he overacts, becuase i don't really see him getting this criticism in Brazil. The main criticism he gets here is that he became unfunny after losing weight
Thanks for watching. I just rewatched this video and I appreciate your patience in watching it. Personally, I find that most comedians over act. That is what makes them funny. I didn’t find his acting that bad like I have heard others when talking about this film.
What are you referring to with the white guilt thing i didnt see that in the movie
At the beginning with about 1 hour and 54 minutes left in the movie. He’s talking to the other detective at the hockey game. Murphy is mocking the other guy. After the detective apologizes. Murphy says. “I’ll do be better. I’ll can be a better white man.”
Like most K dramas, a lot involves class distinction. The male lead is from a working class and enjoys living in the neighborhood where he grew up in. But his wife is more upper crust and dislikes the area which is more working class.
The wife definitely came off as being a bit snobby.
it's my fav kdrama of all time, one of the best drama of all time. yeah it was controversial when it was announced because IU got cast, but after the end of the show domestic rating was very high and people praised it.
IU was great in this. She proved that she could act.
The cow scenes… FUCKING HILARIOUS!!!
Yes. How I could I forget that?
In few simple words: Boring, senseless and messed up. Extremely poor direction and even worse screenplay. Despite having three writers, the plot is a confused mess. The acting is average to poor by three of the four main leads, and the plot moves at a painfully slow pace. This 20-hour show, spread over 16 long episodes, isn’t worth more than 6 episodes. Each episode drags on for almost 1¼ hours. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this one definitely deserves it. Had this been the first K-Drama I watched, I might have given up on K-Dramas altogether. Thankfully, my introduction to K-Dramas was with Descendants of the Sun and Crash Landing on You, which got me hooked. Now, back to The Interest of Love. When did the main pair actually cheat. They showed in the starting of one of the episode but didnot show later how they ended up in the hotel room. Then did his mother go to Thailand ? Again no explanation anywhere. Why Ahn Soo-young did not confront her mother after knowing the truth that she is the one who actually cheated and not her Dad? Too many ifs and buts. Ahn Soo-young is so expressionless. Wonder is this what the Director wanted out of her. She did better in other K-Dramas. The performances are absolutely expressionless, especially by Jeong Jong-Hyun (Jung Ga-ram). I wonder if such a character exists in real life. He seems completely lost and pathetic, always looking down when talking, and seems utterly confused. Is this what the director asked him to do? It’s the worst direction I've seen. I can’t fathom how this made it to Netflix. The screenplay is confusing, with too many flashbacks, some of which don’t even connect to the ongoing story. It feels like both the writers and the director are confused. After all, a person's expressions are a reflection of their thoughts. I’m not sure if the main leads (Ahn Soo-young and Ha Sang Soo) and the second lead (Jeong Jong-Hyun) are to blame, or if it’s the director who couldn’t bring out the best in these good-looking actors. I’ve completed 11 out of the 16 episodes, and I’m determined to finish this drama since I started it, but I’ve lost all interest in this boring story. I won’t be watching another drama by this director, Jo Young-min. Though I wrote the above after 11 episodes, the next 5 are equally disappointing ; especially the last 2 that are too long and too boring. Plain and simple suggestion. Don't waste time watching it.
Very well written. I felt the same way. I only finished the series because I started it. I kept waiting for it to get better but it never did. On top of that the ending wasn’t worth all the suffering the viewers had to go through.
@@jailbyrdearlentertainment Thanks for the response. What other K-Dramas would you recommend ?
Others I would recommend are My Mister (Netflix or Viki). It’s a little slow but once the ML receives an envelope near the end of the 1st episode the series takes off. You’ll want to watch every episode in 1 day. It’s okay to be not okay (Netflix) this is excellent K2 (Netflix) great action series Crown Clown (Netflix) historic drama. A street performer looks like the King and is used as double. Happiness (Viki) zombie like show. Not very scary. Business Proposal (netflix) romantic comedy. Funny from start to finish What is wrong with Secretary Kim (Viki) a must see for Kdrama fans Hotel del la Luna (Netflix & Viki.) supernatural series. Very good. However Ending is weird and confusing Extraordinary Attorney Woo (Netflix). Probably the best Korean actress stars in this one New ones The Atypical Family (Netflix) family has powers but lost their ability to use them. Queen of Tears (Netflix). Powerful family loses their wealth to con artist and lead couple going through marriage problems My Dearest (Viki) fantastic historic drama. Title is a little sappy but the show, while having a romance has political intrigue, battle scenes and what Korean culture was like in the 1400’s and 1500’s Captivating the King (Netflix) historic drama. Show keeps you guessing on who is the hero and who is the villain. Under the radar shows Love is a Bonus Book (Netflix) One Spring Night ( Netflix) Behind your Touch (Netflix) Under the Queen’s Umbrella (Netflix) I got a little carried away. Viki rakuten has a ton of Kdramas Cdramas and jdramas. If you like kdramas it’s a great app to tryout. I chose a lot from Netflix because I know you have it.
I kinda, sorta, somewhat felt bad for Bruno. He’s the one redeemable henchman of the film.
I liked the idea that even though he’s a big muscular guy on the outside; that on the inside he’s actually a small guy.
Keep it up m8👍
Thanks, will do!
Steven King was coked out 9f his gourd making this movie.
This was an awesome show. Throughly enjoyed it. I loved the fact that Peter Sutherland is basically just a normal person with flaws and not an unbeatable giant like Jack Reacher, an infallible super agent like James Bond or an admittedly flawed but nonetheless invincible Jason Bourne etc.
I watched this at least a dozen times with my grandpa on VHS. He always made me FF through the political scenes!
That’s funny
It’s a fun movie with lotsa problems. The M-60 massacre scared the SHEET!!! outta me as a kid! Unlimited Ammo!
I'll make it short. It was terrible, and stupid and based off from a 3 page short story.
One of my all time favorite movies!
I was 9 when this came out. The ice cream truck scared me the most when l was a kid.
They were both great in Men At Work
Yes I really like that movie. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it. I’ll probably do a video on it in the next week or 2. It’s one of my favorite Charlie Sheen’s movie. The other being Major League. Currently, Men at Work is on Amazon Prime
Keep up the good work.
Thanks just plugging away.
I agree, I thought it was inspired by Liar Liar as soon as the first episode was over.
Thank you for the comments
The series started out strong for the first 10 episodes or so, but then really sputtered down the stretch and the final episode was just MEH. I'd give the series a 7/10
