I am in a better place than i was a a year or two ago, but i still dont feel like life is back. Maybe its cos ive grown up a bit and have seen some harsh truths of life. But i dont know.

If I’m not going to end up happy, I may as well do exactly what I want to. Keep moving forward, and work towards it not expecting happiness at the end but to know I did exactly what I wanted when I wanted to. I could live with that.

When I first saw this video a year or two ago, I remember how sad I would get. I don't remember precisely, but I know this type of video, or just pretty women in general, used to send me in a loop of self hate and depression, having never been in any sort of relationship, it would remind me how lonely I was, would remind me how ugly and useless I feel. Now I am happy to say I am much better in that regard. Those feelings have not subsided completely, but just through therapy, through explicit self love, and honestly just acceptance of these feelings rather than trying to push them away, to hide them, I can cope with them so much better. I remember I would have trouble in public, if I went to class or to a coffee shop and I started noticing pretty gals around me I would have to remove myself from the situation. I remember I would have dreams where I am in a relationship, and those could shut me down for days, spiraling into the self hate, sometimes turning to SH or booze to cope. Again I will still get hints of those feelings, and sometimes it will push my mind back to those vices, but I am so so much better now. I can exist without hating myself, sometimes I sort of like myself. Still never been in a relationship, still not very well connected, but I can exist and go out and about without the crippling self hate I once had. The absurdity that a silly sigma edit from 2023 brought up all these emotions, and reminded me of my growth is not lost on me, I realize how silly it truly it. You can learn how to deal with these emotions brothers, read some philosophy, start an explicit self care routine, you don't need to be crippled by the self loathe and shame that can come from these feelings.

It's about those times where we had a hot girl try to take a picture of us, and we felt so shitty about ourself we made the faces involuntarily of the people shown after the picture was taken in the video, because we felt so dogshit about ourselves, we couldnt possibly fathom that it was just a meaningless picture, it had to be someone making fun of us, or beating us down more
