very nice video hello from athens Dr andrew
About The water that sucked into the flask, does that means the volume of that water is equivalent to the volume of gas??
Whats the name of the obtained product?
Lab needs more flow hoods.
Number 4 is 2-propanol, and number 5 is tert-butanol!!!!!!
Bro please respond what does the water moving into the flask represent?
thank you for this video, it helped a lot
I made diphenylketyl the other day from benzophenone and sodium metal in THF. Lovely blue colour. Don't know much else about it except there was a dark blue green solid that turned light yellow near colourless overnight in air
Could you obtain the same result by mixing the acid and the alcohol and just let them sit for a couple of weeks?
Also, what becomes of the sulfuric acid in the reaction?
I made the same dye Orange II. I love revisit old classic: ruclips.net/video/VtZh8wEiDFo/видео.html
Have you done any practical on Synthesis and application of Azo dye from o-toluidine as a fiber dye? Please drop link
Very nice tutorial. thank you.
cool
new subscriber, excelente explicación :)
Hello, my English is so-so, but I have a question when you say something about a "very favorable insoluble salt to be produced and, in the presence of nitrate, which is a soluble silver salt, if chloride is available, leaving a gray colored solution whitish and definitely some silver chloride is formed. What is insoluble salt called?
This is an interesting method for forming the diazonium compound. I usually drip solution of sodium nitrite into an acidic solution of aniline hydrochloride.
Hello, great video! I have one question though what is the mass of the product?
cool
Congratulations bro, so cool your's vids, helped me a lot IoI
One person doesn't like banana esters.
sees like he don like his isopentyl acetate potent
Whats the yield of the product?
It was approximately 40%
@@andrewpatalano3077 thanks
Thank you so much this helped me a lot 🌻
cool
very helpful video. thank you!!
Purity reminds of breaking bad By the way you are good at explaining and very precise and clear thanks thanks thanks
That is a tiny Liebig.
Andrew, hi. I am here to do my brother's homework, as he is not strong in English. Lecturer asked him to translate and conduct same "experiment" in lab class. I could not think of the worst task(to watch and translate) to give to me on Saturday. but I enjoyed it. Keep going buddy, it was interesting for even someone who knows nothing :)
before adding bromobutane, the solution of 2-naphthol and NaOH was clear or hazy?

Thank you for actually giving the measurements and weights for everything. No one ever does and it makes using them as reference much more difficult!
how to determine the initial temperature of the calorimeter?
who came her from UB chem lab.
hello!
Thank you so much! It really helps to see this before lab.
Thank you so much! This is very helpful
Thanks for the video! I'm going into a lab where we will be doing this tomorrow and its helpful to know what Ill be doing
Nice informative video for chemistry beginner
i know Im randomly asking but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Jase Zayden Instablaster ;)
@Kenzo Ezequiel Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I had a question about phenol solubility in water. Wouldn't the benzene group be considered a large nonpolar group that would hinder solubility in water? Similar to the 2-methylcyclohexanol ?
Where is that 1080p!?!? This is 2020 after all.
I'll probably upload a higher quality version eventually, sometimes had technical issues with getting it onto RUclips (uploads would crash).
cool video! love seeing these different tests on alcohols and phenol. very helpful to know the properties and polarity of alcohols to predict behavior :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
