Thank you so much , your lectures are really helpful ❤ it !! One suggestion the BGM is very distracting and annoying …can’t focus on the subject well.
Thanks for the feedback, will consider that for future!
❤ beautiful explanation ❤
So glad to hear this, thank you
❤❤❤❤
Very well presented. Thank you.
Thanks very much!
I think scrub lab spends too much time on marketing instead actually serving the customers correct product when they pay for it. I paid and ordered scrubs from them. Then after waiting got the wrong size. After paying ridiculous to get the wrong size and then have to make a trip to post office despite working full time and leaving work during office hours to return the product! All after paying hard earned money!
I have 8 year experience in medical coding ..so can i work as a clinical coder in. Australia ?do we need any certification
It would likely depend on your existing qualifications and your knowledge of the Australian Coding Standards (ACS). I have seen hospitals here hire from overseas, valuing coding experience but ensuring familiarity with the ACS too. Organisations like CDIA offer courses for Clinical Documentation Specialist recognition which may be helpful
Very helpful! Thank you
Great! I specifically wrote the word doctor with a capital letter, emphasizing your knowledge, excellent pedagogical manner of explaining the material. Wonderful! Thank you for the clips - medical students are satisfied with your performance! I wish you all the best. Doctor with 50 years of experience.
I am 26 years old.. I have a lymph node under my chin in my neck for four months ... there is a slight difference in size ... I saw the doctor ... the doctor gave me an antibiotic. No difference in size..(no decrease in size) ..Ultra sound scan done Report:- Multiple prominent bilateral level II and III cervical lymph node are seen, largest measuring 8.5 mm in SAD with preserved fatty hilum and hilar vascularity. IMPRESSION: BILATERAL CERVICAL LYMPH NODES AS DETAILED - LIKELY REACTIVE After that fnac done... Report:- Repeated aspirate yielded blood only. Is there any problem...could be lymphoma? Please reply
Hello. I can’t offer specific advice over the internet. What I can say is that FNA cannot exclude lymphoma, core or excisional biopsy is needed for comprehensive assessment. I recommend discussing with your own doctor/specialist
@@mededwithandrew okey sir... Thank you
Hi my foot got deformed after Burkitt lymphoma can it be corrected
Hi, sorry to hear about that. It sounds like a challenging complication to live with. It would depend on the nature of the deformity so please discuss with your Haematologist and ask them to consider referral to a Orthopaedic surgeon, if appropriate
This video is soprecious , but become worthless when you dont mention the country or state where this is Relevant
Thanks Ben. I'll add details to the description although I think the principles and the structure can be applied to most regions and health systems
@@mededwithandrew thanks a lot Andrew, but you wouldn't believe how much difference and expectation of the individual GPs and other specialists changes. If you just search for similar videos, you will understand , there are some common expectations for sure but so many opposing opinions regarding what to be included and what not to Any way, thanks a lot for the effort and reply.
I'm a Hospital clinical coder in South Africa and quality of medical records we get from doctors is our greatest challenge. A bigger challenge is making doctors understand the bigger picture without creating tension. 🤦🏽♀️
@@missvisionary same here in Australia!
Thank you Dr Andrew, well done.
you managed to answer all my questions in less than 2 minutes. masterful. Also the same questions that I probably asked you 12 months ago... good to reinforce the knowledge!
Thanks for letting us know your measurements as the at helped a lot. Loving these reviews. I’m researching so many right now and your videos have helped heaps.
A useful and thorough video, thank you.
You may try Taghartt scrubs.
Hi Andrew, video came out at the perfect time - my friends and I used this video when applying for internships. Great advice! Something else that might be valuable to talk about at some point is what sorts of things you can do in your placement years that will help you stand out - given that (A) a lot of medical students come straight from high school (have no past work history, etc) and (B) medical school takes up a lot of your resources, it can be tricky to know exactly what kinds of extracurriculars are worth including if any.
Thanks! Excellent points and I talked in more detail about this a few years ago here: ruclips.net/video/L8GT2onFyYY/видео.htmlsi=SSTSJGyQp8Ki_Qhm Publications are definitely valuable, formal courses/qulifications also, ALS1 can be done in final year medicine and is both practical & good for your CV, audit/QI projects or unpublished research are worth including. Membership in student societies, attending conferences (but not presenting) are not usually adding value
Insightful video, thanks Andrew! I'll note this down for internship
Thanks for the advice! Would it be better or worse to include photo in my resume or CV?
Great question. I recommend not because it can introduce unconscious bias
What size of catarina top is she wearing?
Small
Med teacher crush <3
Love the product, customer service appalling... wouldn't recommend based on our recent large work order. Really like the scrubs but watching your reviews for something different next time.
Disappointing to hear. I've had positive experiences but consistency is key
Thank you
Thanks
Love this
Thank you Sir , It Was easy to Understand and grasp information from your Lecture 😊 . Hare Krishna 🙏❤️😊
Just wondering how tall you guys are so I could have an estimate of the length of the pants.
I'm 188cm, Mao is less than that....
Great video! Great tip - be explicit with documentation. I am a clinical coder and we can only code what has been documented; we are not allowed to make assumptions. We can send coding queries to optimise funding but at the end of the day, documentation should reflect the ‘clinical truth’.
Completely agree with you, Mark!
How many years total?
In Australia, 3 years basic training then 3 years advanced trianing in clinical Haematology OR 4 years with dual clinical and laboratory training
what sizes do you guys wear
Me: Large Pants, Medium Top. Mao: Medium Pants, Medium Top (I think)
Thanks Andrew
Informative but would be good if you show more of slides with audio background.
Nice idea on these vids Ed. Umm I have been coding & billing for over 20 years these nuggets are GREAT! Thank you!! Oh wow you are so long away from me. I have friends in Australia!! Cool beans!
*Promosm*
Thank you.... I got navy blue and planning to buy another colour. 😀
Awesome, hope you feel confident and comfortable wearing them
Didn’t know that doctors have to buy scrubs by themselves! And also get to choose the colour! Thought they’re all provided by the hospital.
Hospital does provide scrubs for staff in theatre/recovery, ICU and emergency department but not for general wards and other areas. So purchasing scrubs has become a bigger thing since COVID
Thank you Dr Andrew! Never pay attention to the difference of the peads stethoscope and a bell before this video!
Happy to help!
love your videos! you explain things so clearly
I study for master degrey and l love how you are exam and simple formation
Thanks for the encouragement!
Thank you for this
My pleasure, thanks for watching
@@mededwithandrew You're welcome
Andrew do you think you could consider doing a coding for Outpatients and Ambulatory Care services for improvements with MDTs, referral management and assessments, and 'handovers' as multiple clinical staff look into OPD pts. If admitted this also helps DRGs for admission and coding for funding models as well, capture of telephone and telehealth consults as well.
Thank you, your vdo very informative. And she very knowledgeable please bring her back again
At 8 minutes, 'Use specific diagnostic terminology' - what does JVP NR stand for? Jugular venous pressure .....
Jugular Venous Pressure - Not Raised. Likewise mm is mucous membranes. We definitely advocate for avoiding acronyms wherever possible for this reason
i hope you can help me with the pathophysiology of DM to DVT
I don't know of a direct causative link between Diabetes and DVTs. There would definitely be associations as patients with poorly controlled diabetes are more prone to acute illness/infections which can predispose DVT/PE. Likewise, diabetes is frequently associated with obesity which is a risk factor for DVT/PE
it took me weeks trying to link it. even atherosclerosis. but most studies suggest for further research to correlate them…
Great stuff
These are great videos so easy to understand and clinically relevant!! hope you do more
You displayed cv on thumbnail but not in the video… these are the reasons your subscribers are not increasing
Thanks, Sir for sharing this kind of informative video.
Thanks for taking the time to present. Super helpful - struggling to synthesise all the info on sepsis-induced coagulopathy and this has really helped me piece together some of this! 🙏
