    Curious as to how many dimensions the basis has; I see the basis as { 10 01 00 00 , 00 , 01 } but am unsure what is being asked for in regards to dimensions?

      never mind--followed up on previous video (Basis and Dimension) and if I'm correct in the three elements in the set of the basis, then the basis is 3-dimensional. Feel free to delete my comment when you read if you dont want the answer given away, but if I'm wrong then Cunningham's Law! lol

      That's a nice basis for 2x2 upper triangular matrices. The dimension of a vector space is how many elements are in a basis for it. In this case, you have 3 elements in your basis so it's a 3 dimensional vector space!
