It will never come back. It is forever closed. However, there are some initiatives by private group to create a single-player version of it.

Same. One of the creators was said to be a former Russian hacker, which may just be a false rumor, but at the same time, I am not desperate enough for school of dragons, that I'm willing to install all that stuff!

@@MedallionYT I didn't know that, I know that two developers worked on project until recently. Denzaya and Hicstrid. Currently, it was announced that only one developer Denzaya is working on the Project. Also, as far as I know, besides the Project Edge, there is another SoDoffline project, which is not as popular as the Project Egde. I don't know exactly if it is legal to run the game in Emulator state. But it sure made a lot of people feel better that the game is back. But what can I say, SoD is not what it used to be, I spent hours in SoD, chatting with people in the chat, going to meetings, etc... But now it's all dead... You go from island to island and play for 30 minutes a day and turn off the game. Maybe it's really time to put an end to SoD and remember how it used to be with players and a good community, even if the love for dragons is stronger 😔🥰.

@@jessicahaigh2141 yes and no. You can play the fan version (soon to be offline). So it's not official and there are inherent risk with using it, but you can play it

The lawsuit is regarding a massive security breach in Neopets when around 69 million users' info was leaked to a hacker. A neopets players sued the company and is forcing Jumpstart to significantly improve all security in their games. I'm assuming that because SoD and other Jumpstart games are so old and would require so much effort to upgrade to the legal requirements, they are taking it down - but that's my guess - not 100% sure about that. I am not sure about all the legal issues, but it is unlikely that Jumpstart would be willing to sell or give their game to another company regardless of what they are paid, and it is unlikely another company would purchase the game due to the upgrades needed.

In addition, I understand from the security point of view, but I think that the message "thanks for 10 years of playing and go play other HTTYD games" is not very fair to us, in addition, why didn't Samantha write to me straight away that the petition will not help ? She told me that they are discussing the petition, but she didn't tell me that the petition is unnecessary, that the shutdown applies to the entire Jumpstart company. At least the devs should make a post about that petition.We the players want to hear back from the developers at least one last time.

@@dracipomeranc_marryboron Is it possible that SoD 2 comes out? Yes, but it is VERY unlikely in my opinion. It would require an absolute ton of work and, in addition, it would require that Jumpstart's parent company doesn't come after those who make SoD. Don't forget that, technically speaking, making a copy of SoD is technically illegal without Jumpstart's/owner's permission + Dreamworks permission. As far as I am aware, most of Jumpstar is being dissolved with their math blaster games as well (except neopets which ironically the lawsuit was originally about). The head Dev, SunnySage, has repeatedly told us that Jumpstart employees are not able to discuss the exact reason for the shutdown, so that's likely why samantha did not mention any of that

@@dracipomeranc_marryboron Oh, and I forgot to add that most of the Devs got laid off up to 2-3 weeks ago, so, unfortunately, you won't hear anything from them because they don't even work for Jumpstart anymore.

@@MedallionYT This is terrible, they worked for SoD for many years and now they are out of work. I don't say it happily, but maybe ending SoD like this so that people remember only the good is a good consolation, even those tasks in the game are like saying goodbye to the game. Unfortunately, I am not aware of why that may be happening. I would recommend, either contacting support, or even joining the Aura Kingdom discord server and asking around.

I don't get anything for my awesome time. Nothing. It's simply a bragging rights thing.

Whip is definitely the best class of the three, with ranger second and gren third. Gren is just bad all around, but whip can be very over powered if you know what you are doing. Ranger is not too bad either. If I were you, I'd try making a whip class. However, it should be noted that if you have a full (or close to full) archive of eidolons, ANY of the classes will be overpowered. I have seen extremely op grens, but they are very rare, because you need to have that strong archive.

@@MedallionYT oh thank you so so much for answering.. and advices Yes all people said whip is rare+op just nervous about gameplay if its fun or na xD i try to decied that And i like ranger aswell but scared to be weak xD My plan is try both untill lvl 15 maybe and see the gameplays (are we sure that whip and ranger have too much dmg difrents) ?

@@atagulsen6130 Ranger is definitely easier to learn the dmg mechanics than whip, but I would definitely say that whip is stronger in almost all aspects than ranger. I would definitely lean towards whip, but I think ranger would be a good beginning class - especially if you are new to Aura Kingdom.

It certainly has it's bugs, and the community has had its fair share of drama over the years, but all in all, it's the best HTTYD game I have found.

Yeah, I agree. Like I said in the video, I personally have no problem, but if you are doing a lot of boosting, you will make others upset. It's just a fact of boost in trr. If you are fine with annoying others, then there's no problem at all. And let's be honest, you'll always make someone mad in sod no matter what you do

Imma be honest with you and say that Aura Kingdom - however fun it is (and it is very fun) has suffered from poor dev companies and X-Legends is one of them. I can only imagine how great it would be if it had a quality game company to own and run it.

I wholeheartedly agree. Pointlessly complicated is a good description. I think that's why a lot of people used Steam.

It does become pretty hard - especially after slvl10. It took me about three months to level up from 124 to this 125. The best I can recommend is keep those bonus quest xp books on during your daily dh5 and then always use the xp boost cards during dng runs.

@@MedallionYT yeah but I'm not gonna lie it gets boring quickly. And I guess its the reason I'm on and off the game. They should change this because no one has that much time to spend on the game. And the little free time one has needs to be spend on trying to level up, it took me 3 years to level up from 99 to slv5 xD cause I was on and off the game. 🤣🤣 good day mate.
