Does the mag draft get snagged alot or do you target suspended bass? 🤔
If you’re trying to roll it over logs and such it will get hung up otherwise I don’t have an issue! I target laydowns and submerged cover and simply parallel it or swim it overtop

I gotta work the mag draft a lot more and the buzz bait… idk if Ive ever caught a buzz bait fish. I used the flapping frog which is kinda the same concept

I’ve been throwing the 6 inch burrito more than the magdraft lately and that new 5 inch by bass mafia is a killer
Do you change your setup at all for the burrito?
@ I’m fishing the magdraft on a 5:4:1 reel I throw the burrito on the or the rev stx 6:7:1 and crawl it on bottom
@ I throw all my swimbaits on a kistler helium glide bait special it’s a 7ft 3 xheavy moderate I’ll throw other swimbaits with treble hooks on a Kistler 7ft 3 feelandreel series it’s a heavy moderate it’s a composite rod but I can use 15 pound test with that rod for the mag draft. If your can hand a 2 ounce bait you should be find hope that helped im probably all over the place haha I have reasons for my setups just hard to put in to words lol

Appreciate it so much my question regarding the bait powder do the fish react different to it to something bait pop or bait fuel a gel we rub all over the bait to attract the bite? I’ve tried baitfuel many a time and most cases I found it doesn’t make a difference but I think it does on fish in clear water that may be pressures, it looks like a oil slick on the bait. That’s my only takeaways on it

Mag draft the price point make me go the other way. I'm the cheeper guy stOme not the best but got a lot of fish on them 4 inch and the 6 inch rip on the fish.
Yeah, they’re definitely pricey. The Berkley CullShad is a great option too, I’ll be making a video too on other swimbaits like you can get a 6” keitech pack and make a custom line thru and those are money

@BEtheFish we fish a lot of tidal water here in Louisiana and it just adds a little action when the bait is sitting on the bottom or on the fall. Can't wait to see the video on building your own. I've used the VMC hook and they are okay but the hook gap and angle are weird. The Gamakatsu are exactly what you said pretty much one and done. I used Berkeley Fusion 19 for almost everything with some BKK and VMC Redline mixed in.
