Hi there! Welcome to my channel! These are my journeys in the RC helicopter hobby, horse riding and life in general. I post videos of me flying with my XLPower helicopter, RC simulator videos, events with model helicopters as well as How-tos. I love being part of the Egodrift family, the Egofamily. I also upload other interesting videos of my life such as the occasional vlog. I hope you enjoy my content.
EPIC RC heli training at Gordano MFC with James Carter
I was invited to Gordano Model Flying Club by James Carter for some weekend fun with the helis. Here are some of my best flights. I definitely think this went very well and I had lots of fun.

BoB - Blades over Buckminster - My competition flight (for fun)

This was my competition flight at Blades over Buckminster a.k.a. BoB! This was a competition held mostly for fun and the music for the flight was randomly chosen by the judges with no warning of what it would be until you actually got there. It definitely made my flight more difficult since I couldn't prepare for it and at one point thought the climax was earlier than it actually was. I hope yo...

Thank you! 😂
Very Nice 👍 you can be really proud of yourself 👏🏻✌🏻👌🏻
Huge respect, great concentration and commitment.🤪
Thank you!
Just keep doing what your doing, you are advancing very fast👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Remember, you have to change parameters in the simulator so you get the same feeling as reality , your doing great👍👍👍👍
Nice flying, you are really progressing well and seem to have a sensible and methodical approach to learning new manoeuvres. 👍
HI ToncsiRC, great job , your advancing very fast, deffo going to be a force to be reckoned with 👍👍👍👍
Woops that was a close call with this throttle kill! Good that you switched the motor on again so quickly and that it spooled up to good RPM so fast. 20 cm lower and it would have been a bad crash! My goodness, you really improved a lot this summer! Trying inverted reverse figure eight! Wow, I wonder if I will ever try this on the field.... Great reversed upriht figure 8's with the M4! I guess in your age it might be a little easier to progress that in my (63). Best greetings and keep training!!
Thank you! Yeah, I had considered the heli gone and was very surprised that I saved it but I was definitely very happy about it too. I didnt want to have to fix it. 😅
@@toncsirc Thats the best in saves! Unfortunately I dislike fixing helis. Not typical but I prefer the flying 1000 times!!
keep praticing. you get better,
Thank you!
Well done you have improved a lot, keep praticing. 👏👏👏
Thank you!
I enjoy watching others that are at the same level I am at. Do you find flying smaller helis easier due to the crash and expense of repair or flying larger just because they are easier to fly? I have a logo 550, blade 360 but I'm most comfortable flying my imp m2. I know I should get over the fear and just fly my 550.
I do fly an OMP M4 quite often as well, however I mostly use it for orientation practice as it is small and I cant fly it too far or I cant see it properly. It is probably because I have gotten so used to flying my 550 over the years, that it is just what I am most comfortable with. This 550 is also relatively inexpensive and it's quite easy to get parts for so I don't mind that part too much either, although I have never crashed it badly. I think that with time, it gets easier as you get used to the model's weight, sounds, speed and so on, but it definitely took quite a long time for me too. :)
Excellent stuff Tonci - getting really good - well done!!
Thank you! I'm glad people can see the improvements, clearly my efforts arent wasted! :)
That's what I always say. Rescue is dangerous! 😂 It's better to focus in saving it the classic way.
Ive had some weird and funny incidents with rescue so I try to save it the conventional way most of the time too.
You are killin it girl, you are doing a heli of a job bahahaha get it!!!
I have to admit, that is a brilliant pun 😂
Great flight!
Thank you!
Who was the PRO though? 🤣
Haha, very funny! A true comedian! 😂
Nice flying!
Thank you!
Awesome! great flight! 😀
Thank you, couldnt have done it without your assistance. :)
I really thought you lost it. But what a safe. 😅😅😅
Thank you! Yeah, in the moment I thought I had lost it as well and it definitely gave me a slight heart attack.
You really improved, that save was pretty sketchy. Defenitly a certified pucker moment 😂
Thank you! Yeah, I have to admit, not my best moment there. 😂
Awsome!
Thank you!
Nice video. I love seeing the progression. Happy flying 🚁💨💯
Thank you!
0:50 Did you mean to do that?
Well... No, not really. It was supposed to be a half piro out of inverted, something I have done quite a few times, but that was not how it was meant to go.
@@toncsirc That's good you knew what to expect and how to "correct" if it goes sloppy. However, the second one 1:11 was a bit sketchy. You actually, should have maintained some rudder pressure to allow heli to piro for stability. However, I don't think you expected to need that. One advice, when flipping try to "rock frwd" and then flip. It takes less energy and the flipping momentum will help carry the inverting motion. The "less extra energy" the better, because it can get out of control. Keep on.
Your progress is great. Keep going.
Thank you!
Awesome! You’re amazing, keep going!
Thank you!
nice, that's a lot of improvements there
Thank you!
Just got one they look impressive. 👌
Thank you, glad you liked the video then. Hope you enjoy your new heli!
Awesome
Thank you!
@@toncsirc love your videos and your progression
Oh wow, is it brushless.
That is gold, genuinely laughed out loud at that. They do actually have a pair of brush like appendages on their undersides called pectines that they use to help find food. :)
Love it !!❤
Thank you!
How do you fly the goosky with a tf8g super?
A tarot FASST S.Bus reciever was used within the Goosky since it can be connected to the S.Bus port of the controller, so you can fly the Goosky with the Futaba. I hope this helps! :)
Well done Tonci!!!! Excellent flying indeed! Better than me for sure!!
Thank you!
BTW, that is a great flying field. I have crashed in tall grass before, and as long as you "throttle cut" you may have zero damage to your helicopter. If you forget to throttle cut, you will see brown smoke and you will need a brand new ESC and maybe LIPO and motor. This happened on my 1st time ever inverting!!!
It really is, although I haven't really crashed at this field since I have moved here, so I personally haven't got a reason to thank the grass yet other than being good for grass cuts, but just recently another pilot did have the grass there to minimise damage during theirs. :)
There are 3 ways to flip to invert. 1.) power throttle up: Safe because you rise higher but you may accidentally go left, right...etc. Now you are "moving" inverted. Hope you practice inverted flying. 2.) flip down: this uses least power so ideal for "low headspeed" for max flight time, but you will descend. Careful, "dropping down" back to non-invert. Need more throttle than inverted. 3.) rock and flip, or lean then flip: This is preferred method for me. Just kind of lean to maximum stall, then flip 90 degrees. Then "catch" and stabilize. You can even "repeat it". This is proper tic- toc. Not "slip-slap" like many pilots do, and ultimately drift out and away. A tic-toc is a flip > stabilize > flip stabilize....repeat. Experts never "drift out" during tic-toc. In fact, during the tic-toc and "stabilize" moment they can piro, or add input to "travel" to whatever direction during tic-toc
I have been flying inverted for quite a while now and I definitely enjoy it as well, the reason I asked within the video is because I don't fly micro helis very often and so I was asking about the amount of pitch required for the S1 to flip as nicely as some of the bigger models. If you are ever interested in in-depth tutorial videos regarding new moves, such as the tic-toc, I suggest checking out www.youtube.com/@rchelicopter.
Nice flight! I can't do aileron tic m tocs yet. But some sloppy piroflips I can so. Just built a omp m4 max. Hoping to gain some skill with that since it's better to see compared to the m2 but cheaper to crash than my 580. First is setting up Rotorflight
I'm sure you will get you will learn the ailerons soon, it also took me quite a long time to learn them and my piroflips are still quite terrible. have fun with your OMP!
Nice flying, you got a lot better!. Is it me or does the m4 have a slight wobble /wag?
Whilst she is off to a school trip, let me answer instead of her. Thanks for the feedback. This slight tail wag is the only thing we could not remove entirely, although we didn't deal with it too much either. It's not so disturbing, so once we will have some time, we will try to make it better. With these smaller helis this is always a challenge.
@@rchelicopterhub it doesn't seem to bother the flying one bit. Sometimes it's not worth chasing problems that aren't really serious. Enjoy the upcoming nice weather!
Nice done. The tailwag was on mine m4 aswell. Took some 600 grit sandpaper , cause there was a point on the shaft that the pitch slider got «stucked».and carefully sanded the tailshaft just to smoothen it out. Great flying skill and Cool egodrift gear. 🤜🤛
Thank you!
Only recently discovered your channel , like your style and at my age even managed to learn easier ways to do 3d - not the smack variety , just sport aerobatics !! Thanks you ..
I am very impressed with your progress, Toncsi! This "deep into the grass cutting" was very impressing! Very smooth flips and it's great to see you have a fun time with your father!! All the best greetings from Poland!
Thank you!
Very cool!! Good job!! 👍
Awesome flying!!!! 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Damn, that thing looks like it could do some serious harm. You have a great responsebility in your hands 😮 Awesome video.
Thank you! It definitely could but we always try our best to stay safe!
Great info! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Toncsi, your going to make 1 hell of a 3D pilot, Great job 👍👍
Thank you so much!

You are better than last year .
Thank you!
Good to see you back flying again!
Thank you! Glad to be back :)
fantastic, well done just fantastic flying.
Thank you!
Very nice flight after such a long break! Do you fly regulary in the Simulator during the winter time to keep in shape? It looks as if you do so! I can't wait for warmer spring temeperatures! We had a lot of rain and snow this winter. Happy flights!!
Thank you so much! I do indeed fly on the sim during winter when i have the chance but it is never as good as flying in real life, so I definitely agree with wanting warm weather!
Awsome !!!
Thank you!
Cold fingers less control. Use soft gloves with finger tip cut out or small down blanket over hands. i found a clear custom tx cover on sale somewhere. Enjoy.
Thank you! I will try that.
