Expanding Fetal Cardiology Care Through Telemedicine
Fetal cardiology plays an important role in diagnosing congenital heart disease. Through telemedicine, we can provide better access to fetal cardiology and improve our ability to provide an earlier diagnosis.
Every year, congenital heart disease affects approximately 40,000 births in the United States. Of these, about 1 in 4 of infants are considered critical and require surgery during the newborn period. An early fetal diagnosis greatly improves the outcomes of children born with congenital heart disease.
With telemedicine, providers can meet pregnant patients where they’re at, when traveling may present physical, emotional and mental challenges. Our team believes providing care closer to ...

Reducing C. Diff Infections and GIP Stool Testing Overuse
Просмотров 625 месяцев назад
Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) is the most common cause of hospital-acquired diarrhea. Multiplex gastrointestinal panels (GIPs) provide rapid, comprehensive test results for C diff, but they can be costly and overly sensitive. GIPs also cannot distinguish colonization - which doesn’t require treatment - from true infection. Assistant professor at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Jillian M. Cot...

Children’s Hospital Colorado has been caring for children with PVS for decades and in 2017 our PVS care took a significant step forward when we adopted a first-of-its-kind multidiscipl...
Investigating Bleeding After IUD Placement
Просмотров 3596 месяцев назад
Satisfaction rates with levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS), also known as a levonorgestrel IUD, are very high, and the contraceptive device is endorsed by many national organizations as safe and effective in adolescents and young adults. However, little research has been conducted to explain the mechanism of unexpected bleeding after IUD placement or how to prevent it. Trici...
Managing Nocturnal Enuresis

Nocturnal enuresis, also known as involuntary urination or bedwetting, is common among children. It affects about 15% of 5-year-olds and 1% of teenagers older than 15. The condition can cause significant stress and affect quality of life and social relationships. Monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis is strongly related to sleep patterns, as children who sleep very deeply may not wake in response ...

The Importance of Daily Radiographs in Pediatric Colorectal Care
Просмотров 1926 месяцев назад
When treating children with fecal incontinence or severe constipation, a common error is not using daily abdominal radiographs to evaluate the efficacy of treatment. When done correctly, daily radiographs provide important details to inform treatment changes for pediatric bowel management. Not all gymnastics injuries are sudden and obvious. Many gymnasts experience overuse injuries, which occur from repeated stress on bones, joints or muscles. Because symptoms are often vague and gradual, overuse injuries may be harder to spot than an acute injury. Thank you Sir. It is very clear.
I am sitting in my chair. My stomach is about third trimester bloated I can’t stand up straight. My legs are heavy and unresponsive. My doctor has given the choice of hysterectomy, or suffer.
My mother is 82 years old and has the interstim implanted. She has no feeling of when she needs to go and wets the bed about everynight. Should the interstim work for this? And if not what other options are there? We have bothered the dr. many times over this and been told to do kegels and drink less. Mom has trouble with trying the kegel excercises. Really her quality of life is so low and will not leave the house anymore.
My son had a pull through at 3 yo in Austin, TX after having 3 stomas. He is 25 also Autistic and has had 2 bowel obstructions and is experiencing the same that has doctors troubled as he’s been in Houston Methodist hospital a week awaiting treatment. Do you consult with other medical professionals about his difficult cases?
Oh my goodness. I need you please to pray for me that I would get better sleep even with my autism.🙏🏼😡🌜 Merry Christmas!
Hey guys, i was recently diagnosed with Enterocolitis. Barely 2 days ago. Is it normal for the diarrhea to stop but the cramps are still there? I am so bloated and in pain. Does it take longer to heal?
OMG, feeling how it all began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.
It sounds like this is similar to Adult Normal Hydrocephalous. If there is increased pressure in the brain by cerebrospinal fluid then it can result in difficulty in walking. But, in AFM for the most part there is difficulty in using the upper extremities. I wonder if there is some source of pressure going on inside the brain causing AFM?
My niece had a beautiful baby boy 10 years ago with hypoplastic left heart syndrome with an attached atrial septum. He lived 2 hours but he will remain in our heart forever💖💖💖
I don’t want my period
Hello mam, how can get your help?
My personal goals and values are to move out of my parents house, learn how to cook and do laundry, and be financially independent. This is almost impossible with my multi-millionaire STEM Ph.D parents who micromanage my daily schedule as a 29 year old. It's hard to see the point in quitting vaping in the context of those goals when I don't have a bridge towards those goals in my parents house. I don't have social support quitting as the son of a mother in STEM, I have to support my mother's belief system about my failure to launch after graduating from college in STEM.

My daughter struggles with this since 2019...at 9 yrs now 14 yrs.
I'm glad that it sounds like there's more support for patients these days... I was dealing with this in 2005-2008 and was finally treated at 16 years old and, damn, was it a fight to figure out what was going on in my body.... Thanks for making this informational video.
I was about to faint from pain this morning.... couldnt move or anything and also couldn't take breaths.
I am 27 , I am diagnosed with pcod although i have heavy bleeding and severe cramps on all the 4 - 5 days of periods . The pain is so much that i had to take 3 ibuprofen a day that's mean total 12 ibuprofen in total 4 days. I am sure it does have a side effects but i can't help the pain is so much. I am on birth control pills from the past 3 months , the heavy bleeding has reduced and the pain is now slightly less but i still have to take 5-6 painkillers during my periods .
Thank you Doctors! Puts my mind at ease and all other parents that may have to face the same issue. 🙏
We need something like this in New Zealand. Well done to your place off work. My son has 15q11.2 deletion he will be 17 year's old this year. He has some behavioral issues which is expected. But he has a heart of gold and so kind. We need to have more medical/and any advice support to help us with his well being etc. :)
Ughhhh this video is dumb.
Im worried i jsut got told my baby is in the 5th percentile and im 22 weeks. He said it coukd be that my dates are wrong but i have to go back in 3 weeks to see how baby is growing. I lost a previous baby and i had the samething growth restrictions due to my anterior placenta. I lost him at 26 weeks he was small like 23 weeks 😢
Hi hope your okay, any updates on the baby?
Dear Pinar, Thank you for your presentation. I am a retired Ass CNC . My granddaughter is ODD . Aged 3. She & her mom ( my daughter), live with us. We are at the end of our rope. Having employed all but pharmaceutical intervention. As the tone implies, our intervention strategies do little to improve our granddaughter 's attitude towards bedtime or sleep routines nor to duration of sleep. The anger issues are devastating even to professionals. Treading on eggshells and choosing your actions and words very carefully to regulate someone else's emotions is an extreme vocation.
We have twin autistic 5yr olds. I wouldn’t consider it “anger issues” as much as demand avoidance and perhaps decision fatigue in your situation. One of our sons has similar issues to what you’re describing. What does your granddaughter’s OT say about the situation? That should be step 1.
Thank you for this great presentation.
My 1 year old feel on her toy and has this kinda injury
I had this last week and I was experiencing the worst pain I’d ever felt
Hey ! How long did it took you to heal ? i’m sure im experiencing the same and i seen that there is few cases . I usually go to the doctors as well as different ones when i experience something but have been diagnosed with other severe cases that had nothing to do with what i had and i seen that This lipzchutz ulcer can be easily mistaken for severe cases

My best friends daughter is 21 and has this. Her mom is a single mom & going through this journey alone. Is there any way she could contact you with some questions? The doctors are giving her contradicting answers. Sounds like you could give her some direction and answers. Please let me know. Thank you so much!
Reading these comments have reassured me that I am not the only one🥹!!! For years my doctors haven’t took me seriously, I finally got booked in to see a gynaecologist but it is a 5 month wait!!! And there’s nothing worse when YOU KNOW something is wrong with u and also what you are going through is not normal but the doctors dismiss you and don’t take u seriously 😔 It has effected my quality of life, made me leave jobs and don’t even get me started on the painnnn😭 it literally feels like I give birth every month. I just want them removed at this point. But in 5 months time I will come back and update you guys on my journey🙏🏻 pray for me
i don't think i'll ever understand if women are exaggerating?? because i don't even realize when im on my period, maybe i'll get a little cramp. the only time it's hurt was when i had an ovarian cyst but then again i have high pain tolerance

Amazing work. What happens to the remnants of the balloon after its punctured percutaneously and deflated?
I recently came off my pill to start trying to conceive. I went on my pill for 7 years to mask my period pain. Coming off my pill the pain has returned and is just the same. I cant believe i have to go through this until i fall pregnant. I stress and worry when my next period will be from the nightmare I have to go through each time. It feels like im dying, I can't move, i throw up with the pain, have diarrhea and feel dizzy to the point i feel I'm going to pass out. Wherever i am at the time my period comes on, i immediately have to get home to bed and try my best to sleep off the pain for a few hours. Its the worst few hours of my life, absolutely excruciating and unbearable, i have put off pushing for help/surgery for so long as im absolutely petrified of it 😢
If you’re female with XY then you most likely have complete androgen insensitivity disorder (different to intersex), which is not to be celebrated. It’s a debilitating condition, and only serves as concrete evidence why genotypical females are the point of reference regarding reproductive capabilities. Happy to answer questions - protect women’s safe spaces! ❤
Hello sir , is 7.6 percentile fetal weight at 22 weeks serious ?? What can I do to correct it ???
Pain meds don’t work on me. I’ve even tried Morphine shots (at the hospital) - did not work! I just have to suffer through.
I wanted to die because of the agonizing pain I experienced every single month all those years ago! Thinking about it now is devastating! The throwing up for two days, the piercing stabbing pain, the thirst and so much more! I hope there is help for the young women going through what I call a crippling disorder of mammoth proportions out there today! It is life changing and incredibly intrusive in a women’s daily life! I remember having to cancel engagements, call out from work and no matter where I was I made a mad dash for home before the horrible agony was to begin! After two to three days of my body betraying me I looked like a person who hadn’t eaten for weeks, my eyes sunken into my sockets and so weak it was difficult to move until I could eat again just to have the whole thing happen again next month! Believe me when I say prayers do not help and doctors were as incompetent as they are today! I had no choice but to take birth control pills and later on the depo provera shot which did help, thank God, but after many many years of suffering and finding the right doctors to finally help me!
👏🏼
