You can actually enter through the front entrance as a fan or any other disguise, you just need an invitation. Fan drops it but you forgot to pick it up.

Did you know that if you throw something at the ceiling of the first floor of Bangkok, in the exterminators area, just right above where the camera is (near the stairway), you can pull an elite bodyguard (black shirt) down and get his disguise very quickly?

1:50 - I can explain what happened at the start. Guards temporarily lose enforcer status when they spot a body in a trespassing area, so you can run past them. But in hostile areas, they immediately agro if they see you, even if they're not enforcers. I learned that the hard way, same as you. Anyway, you should be playing on hardcore mode instead. You seem experienced enough to handle it.

PSA: The Proximity Micro Taser has been nerfed in the patch that added this challenge, so civilians will no longer pick it up. It's no longer overpowered, and Silent Assassin just got a lot harder to do in Freelancer as a result.

A couple notes on the shrine: The Shrine refreshes weekly, and you'll likely need to spend money on DbD on some chapters you want the perks from, as there are a handful of perks for killers & survivors that released years ago still have yet for their respective perks to appear in the shrine once.
