These videos are awesome. It is amazing that so many companies, just like ours, start growing once we start adding office staff. For the guys looking to grow, it is scary thinking about adding office staff, but you will never grow quicker then when you hire people to enable you to focus on the dream, rather than the day to day.

i applied at walamrt when i was 21 but they required 23 and 3 years or 250k safe miles, oh well got a union ltl job with less than 2 years experience and that was 18 years ago

Hey guys, Guyana is the country that I grew up in from ages 3 to 13. It was Ware Jim. JONES had his cult. The country is rich and raw resources and has always been pilfered by outsiders. The government allows this because they’re the ones that are making money. The country itself is probably one of the most poverty stricken places That I’ve ever been in. I hope these guys do the right thing and help and help give back to the country.

As long as the truck is safe and reliable (has a decent place to lay your head when needed), and the rate comfortably provides for your family, it'll do. Some of these guys will take less per mile if theyre given a longer hood, some chrome, chicken lights and a castrated mill. The days of Monfort, circus wagons, and owners that preach if another rig passes you today, theyll be hauling your freight tomorrow, are gone. The shippers, brokers, and many fleet owners sleep in their own beds & see their families daily, and arrive and leave the office at the same time every day. I worked my tail off for years away from my family - the owner of the company had 800 acres - I lost my 5 acres in the divorce -- Choose wisely who and what you serve.

I drove 1 1/2 years for CR England, driving that big truck on the freeway is exactly like driving a car, if you are good driving a car you are good driving that big truck, saying that he had only 7 days experience is baloney, it's exactly the same principle, the only difference don't zig zag to avoid hitting a car I see many truck drivers do that mistake, stay strait and hit strait don't swirl to avoid a car that's how you lose control and get into something much worst, just hit the brake slow down as much as you can, keep strait. As far as braking performance on snow, it's the same thing as a car it behaves the same way, don't hit the brakes so hard to lock the tires. In the bad whether drive slow or don't drive at all.

My struggle is i had to size down , I love trucking , the footprint your company and logo leaves when you see your fleet going down the road , based out of North Dakota, had to size down in reefer and stepdecks , local and OTR and it's sad to see myself and companies around me struggling with no driver's...VEST

Pete and kw don't set out to sell the most trucks, they sell unique trucks to a specific market. Their resell sets them apart

My struggle is I want too notch drivers with a good work ethic. Most of those drivers want a hood truck while I need a light weight more fuel efficient truck. Since I swapped from 5mph trucks to 8mpg my profit has increased significantly. VEST

I think this is awesome. What he’s doing I spoke to law firm that does the same thing for Mexican drivers. They wanted a fee from the driver weekly and also a fee from me weekly. I felt like it was some kind of human trafficking and bowed out . I’ve lost three pieces of equipment due to inexperienced drivers in the past year and the service of this gentleman is offering can really be using the industry. I wish him the best and much success. What I really liked about him is he was interested in preserving integrity of the industry.

I'm thinking about getting an International, I love the Peterbilts, but they're just too expensive. I'm trying to make money, not impress people that I don't even know.

The PACCAR guys will tout resale matters. Those new wide cab Kenworths and Peterbilts don't hold their value. Your not making up this difference when you go to sell.

There is no driver shortage. Just a shortage of people willing to take low paying jobs with little to no benefits and a horrible work life balance. If trucking company's would make positive changes in the areas of pay and benefits and start to consider ways to improve work life balance there would not be a shortage of drivers. If you want decent middle class people in trucking start by making it a middle class job again. It just boggles my mind that company's would rather bring in foreigners who have no other options and take advantage of them rather than pay a fare and living wage and provide a decent job to American workers. It truly is a shame what trucking has become. The industry will never change with scumbag company's refusing to provide fare wages and decent working conditions and instead opting to bring in foreigners. It is shameful that bulk loads would support this.
