This video shows you HOW TO effectively unclog your Keurig machine and restore proper water flow (sorry the video is long but its thorough and you can always fast forward).
As this was only a demonstration please ensure to unplug your machine when actually attempting to fix the issue.

I tried everything and realized the problem was my reusable k cup. The red line plug had come out so coffee grounds were getting everywhere. Well at least it forced me to do some machine maintenance! 😆
I have a Keurig duo. I’m not sure how to get to the casing. I don’t see anyway to open it but I’m sure that must be the problem
Can confirm the coffee grounds clog. I believe it happens at the very end of the cycle. When the pump stops pumping the column of water flows back to the reservoir. This pulls a little coffee every time. It seems to be more prevalent in the more expensive models. Also, vinegar won’t work on organic coffee grounds. Vinegar is for water scale which can also build up in these things.
We have been trying for two hours and was about to throw it away..your instruction with getting to the tube did it… thank you!
I fixed it right after watching the video. Thank you.
Thank you works great now!!!😮
Great video! Worked 100% thanks
I think I made this almost 10 years ago and my iPhone wasn’t the best with focus but it’s cool people find the video helpful (almost forgot about it). Ofcourse with any appliance be sure to unplug before fixing.
Info is great! Images are out of focus and dark.
Thank you. You are so smart!
Water runs fine through my machine but it won't work when I put coffee grounds in.
I'm going to chuck the thing in the garbage. I cannot get the lid off to get to the tube!
Trying the vinegar, thanks!
04.15.2024 I don't drink coffee, but a friend was gonna trash her machine cuz it wouldn't work. [Made noise, but nothing came out.] So I asked if I could have it to recycle as she bought another. But before I recycle it, I'm going to try your cleaning tips!! 👊
Don't put the water back from the cup into the reservoir! Whatever was clogging might be in that cup!
Can you explain/show more about how you held it over the sink and cleared the tube?
Wow!!! Thank u so much! This worked....your video is still changing lives all these years later!🎉❤ Great job! I had to work at it for quite a while, and then finally success. ❤❤❤
I am on my 6th! I am done with keurig!! I contacted them again and no help
This worked for me. Thanks!
Help I didn't have a reg paper clip. It was a 📎 but it was covered in a plastic coating. I used it to clean the pierced thingy. It helped, but silly me tried a second time. I then realized some of the coating came off. Now it's clogged. I noticed you took your top casing off your keurig. I can't seem to do that with mine. TIA. HELP!!!
Mike, thank you for your video. I myself have been using distilled water in my keurig 2.0 for years but recently I have noticed that I’m not getting the right amount of water in my cup. After several videos I came across your video and I have to say that your video was very helpful. I guess my coffee machine is no different than any other machine I purchased even the car. Everything needs servicing and maintenance. Thank you once again for the reminder, Thumbs up for your video 🫵👍👍😎
What type of screw driver does this need
I found mine was due to excess water / air in the line which may have put the cycle into haywire or out of wack for lack of a technical term. After checking my filter and reservoir feed I simply removed my water tank and turned the unit sideways and angled it as far as I could to drain the reservoir feed port without turning it upside down. About a third of a cup trickled out. I set it back up to run a test cycle with about 2-3 inches of water in the tank and to my delight the machine functioned perfectly. I ran a few more cycles with different size cups and concluded that I had resolved my situation. So, maybe try that if your machine is spotless and clean and you can definitely hear your water pump functioning. Good Luck 🤞🤞🤞
This is a scam. The only way to fix these abominations Is with a sledgehammer. Have some self respect & throw it away.

This fix didn’t work for me. Ilnormally when you turn it on the motor starts to pump. In this case, nothing happens at all. The main light goes on for a few seconds and then shuts off.
Right now I am frustrated I did everything my friend told me to do still frustrated 😠
This one of the better clips on how to fix a Keurig, will try your instuctions.
Thanks man. I followed your instructions and it’s fixed. I tried other utube videos to no avail 👍👍😆
Where can I buy a genuine check valve?
This just save me! Thanks
Use a small paper clip to declog the grounds out of the needle. Also take out the cup after brewing.
I usually run vinegar through the machine when it starts to run slowly. But recently it runs strong for a couple of seconds then plugs up. So something is in there that is free flowing. Opened it up and it is clean of anything. I am soaking it with straight vinegar this time one more time to see if it will dissolve by itself. If not, I have to dig a little deeper to the inlet of the pump.
what if the water doesn't come up the tube? then what do i do????
I only did the paper clip thing and it works!
A useful tip, if it’s built up with too much scale and will not pump at all. Add one cup of CLR, and one cup of water to the tank, attempt to start the machine. It probably won’t run the first time. Allow it to stand for 12 hours with this mixture in it. Then try it again. If it starts to pump, hot water, add more water to your tank and cycle the entire tank through one step at a time with no pod in the machine. If it doesn’t flow, let it stand for another 12 to 24 hours and try it again. Once this obstruction has cleared, you’ll need to run three tanks of clean water through the machine to rinse out all of the remaining CLR. You can use your nose to determine when the stuff is gone. It has a very distinctive smell.
Thanks, I just got one for free and I’m glad that I was able to fix it and nice working coffee maker
Was about to chuck mine out. Thank god I found your video. All fixed now. Many thanks 💜
Thank you, I know this is an old video but, exactly what was wrong with mine. Now it’s fixed. ❤
Thank you; thank you; thank you! I cannot tell you how badly I needed a cup of coffee this instant. Every other solution I saw online failed me. This was the one that worked.
Which screwdriver did you use? I've tried and tried, but nothing worked.
Worked for me. Thank you.
Thank you
Awesome thanks for the video! You help me fix my Keurig didn't realize it was such a simple fix I thought maybe the pump went since mine wasn't even dripping any water. But this fix worked! Thanks again
mine has like flat screws not able to remove. im sure they know how to make it so you cant fix it. mine has a weird sheild over the needle i had to hokd it up to clean the needle. oddly it worked better before the vinegar
my top wont come off its the kind with the coffee pot and k cup. i have stuck a wire brush up the needle i get 1st pump of water and i put vinigar in my machine as we have harder water here. mine doesnt have a digital screen. it makes all the noise but nothing happens this is my 2nd keurig other one would still put water in cup after it was done so i had to keep the lid up.
I have watched a few videos and I will attempt to unclog my Keurig machine. As I watched some of the recorded videos, I thought that wearing a head lamp flashlight on my head would give much better lighting in order to see that needle above. I am not selling these, however, they are handy for any project where you need to see.
Thank you so much for your grear explanations. You saved my coffee maker from joining the other ones gone o the trash.
Thanks! Mine is working perfect now. I unhooked the tube from top of needle and a few inches back behind the filter. It was clogged, but works perfect now! I also took the needle piece out with 2 screws. Works like a new one again
I have a model with buttons on top of the casing where the water/coffee comes through. I can’t seem to do the same thing when I take the buttons off.
It worked, but I didn’t see any brown residue. I removed the tubing and I blew in it then I sucked on the tube and it finally worked. Thank you, I was about to toss it!
