Is it worth going to Exmouth? | Exploring Western Australia and what to do and see in Exmouth
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.6 месяцев назад
After visiting the east cost of Australia last year i wanted to see what all the fuss was about when it came to Exmouth. This tiny little town was established in the 1960's and is perfectly placed for those who want to visit the Ningaloo reef. I never thought i would prefer the west coast of Australia but the nature, animals, and lack of people made it the perfect place for me to visit. If you'...

If you saw my previous video you will know i was travelling from Melbourne to Brisbane. I was only there around 2 full days and i definitely regret not staying there longer as there was a lot i did not get to see. I often feel like Brisbane gets overlooked, its a beautiful city in Queensland with subtropical climate and has everything you could want in a city. I would recommend hiring a car and...

Hi All, I only stayed at the TUI Blue Aquila Elounda Village Resort hotel for a couple of days but wanted to provide you with a really brief insight as to what it was actually like. It's a great place to travel to in Greece if you want a little bit of peace and quiet. I wasn't there long but managed to experience most of the resort. My video will let you know what the food (I was all inclusive)...

Lune is on trend so expensive. There are many other bakeries in and around Melbourne that offer great croissants and other pastries.
You must be a woman of means-The Nayara charges a Kings Ransom to stay there!!!!
❤
Nice spots, glad this came on my feed, im travelling dec
@@Chungus67 thank you.
Very good video, Amelia
Great review. If I go here with my 74yr old mum can we walk it all rather than cycle?
@karenbraddock5738 yes you can it's very very easy to walk everywhere, it's just faster by bike.
@@amelia.explores Thankyou! Also do you know the difference between the premium all inclusive and normal all inclusive? And is it worth it?
@karenbraddock5738 when I went. Premium inclusive did not exist. But looking on their website the difference is that that you get some gifts, more alcohol selection, credit at the rock spa and an excursion etc.. If you look on their website and select meal plans it shows you the difference. Personally I wouldn't think premium is worthwhile because I wouldn't use any of the additional but everyone's different so just see what's best for you.
There is rock everywere?
How much did yiu pay for it?
your nose reminds me of Wicked the musical
@daxdaxy3612 man that's mean.
Okay review with a lot of fuucing British opinions that were not needed. Hard Rock Hotel is pretty cool though. Fake island is sad.. No reef and no feeling of nature.
The west coast is so crowded with tourists you have to book 12 months ahead . You're just hoteling it . Definitely not the way to go.
@jasonbarnes5605 it was super empty when I travelled there were not many people there at all. I also only booked 1 month in advance and there was plenty of space.
this is nice. plan to visit there next year. question I have is do I have to schedule trip by speed boat to and from Hard Rock? Thanx in advance
Yes you will have to if it's not booked as part of your package when you book your flights
@@amelia.explores thanks a bunch for the reply...
Lovely video review thanks.
I finished watching this, and this is definitely not worth coming. Well at least for me
Not to mention that you are alone and your pool is big, if your neighbours would have been a family and they pay the same as you did and got that tiny swimming pool that would have been really disappointing.
I agree, I'm not sure what category of room they had.
Melbourne has gone downhill over the years - I’m so glad I left there. Its “liveability” has declined a lot over the last decade or more and the weather is really lousy.
Bluebird, would like to know who owns that & their association with Caribou (properties) people, because MELS (a coming together point for locals & visitors alike for 40 + years) It seems mels.had the rug pulled from under them (the heritage building that is now bluebirds) for a posh place that would pay higher rent, wld bills (where mels was put) was a skanky joint owned by caribou properties as I recall. Mels in that old building WAS much of what made banff, we used to go there at any given time of day, queues on the street at 7 am for breakfast, a lunch special having just landed at calgary a few hours before, after a transatlantic flight& to just unwind in a friendly place was to walk to mels for a blue cheese burger & some coffee before the jet-lag wiped us out, ..as wild bills had stairs to climb I wonder what happened to all those local OAP's like the 80+ year old Canadian royal air force WW2 pilot who used to walk fdom the traders on the other side of the bridge (by the first nations museum) for his lunch, mels was accessible to all by its walk in location, wheelchairs, sports injured, broken legs, baby buggies, I anticipate caribou's forcing mels out for bluebirds has had a massive knock on effect in the community. (+ notably you didn't visit it on this video either, ..case in point)
What are the prices in store (food and drink) and what in restaurants? Offer the hotel daily excursions?
I think I mentioned the prices in the video. I would only go all inclusive as it's so expensive per meal otherwise. I'm not sure about excursion prices but it's probably up on their website.
@@amelia.exploresi didnt see
Saw the album "Some girls ". You had me.
Great taste! 🤘
Your country provides complete integrity with its simple cultural structure, healthy, good and friendly people, the broadcast flow is very natural and understandable, thank you.❤❤
nahhhhh too many anti covid people living there, plus they dont have a harbour only a brown dirty river.
I would love to stay here, but a bit pricey. Thanks for the tour anyway!
Hi we’re staying here soon. Do you happen to remember if there was a hair dryer in the room ?
Yes there was :)
Just saw this beautiful place you visited. Stunning! Haha... I've got to get to Australia first!
Is this country in your opinion as beautiful as Australia? From what all you've seen.
@wdwbound3298 it's very different I dont think you can compare the two.
@@amelia.explores Thanks again for your insight yesterday. I'm really excited about going there. Not looking forward to the 20 hour total air time!
@@amelia.explores Did you ever see what I was talking about with Elsa? I guess millionaires want to be comfortable too. I hate that a lot of people give her grief over it. It doesn't affect them in anyway. I'm sure it's probably from other countries. It's wierd how others see what the locals don't!
Thanks for the nice Video❤ we will be there in june for our honeymoon. Can you tell me the name of the hotel app?
It's called the blue app by TUI
This is a really well made/written video, well done.
Excellent video of Brisbane. Unfortunately many people from overseas think that the only place in Australia is Sydney but it's a very expensive place to travel and there are so many other states and territories to visit. Well done.
Thanks, I'm off to western Australia soon so will be nice to compare
Bill Bailey says, forget the east coast. Western Australia cracks open your soul. Fwiw…
I'll find out soon enough!
@@amelia.explores WA lol TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot there.
@@DanielKing-dk5nrPerth city is dull as.
I live in Melbourne and agree Stalignites the restaurant is overrated. Also puffing billy tourist trap. Fitzroy and Brunswick and Stkilda are cool places
It was a little overrated I'm not sure it justified the queue out the door. I didn't get to see St kilda but I wish u had done.
You'll have to pack an AC/DC DVD for the trip back. I recommend live at River plate .
Ive never heard the kookaburra joke that was hilarious & a very good aussie exploring imoression 👌😂
Really wonderful video with great tips.
Thanks, I've had loads of comments about the bad sound 😟 so I'm glad you liked it.
You really need to learn how to balance your audio!
Yes sorry someone else said that too! I'm working on it
Any chance you could tell me which part was particularly bad so I can test it?

St Kilda has small boat tours to see the penguins
Oh do they? I'll keep that in mind for next time!
Moved to brisbane from Melbourne Never looked back
Hi was it all inclusive
Hello, no it wasn't. I just had bed snd breakfast booked
Crosonts.. just go to Coles 3 for about 3$ l only eat crosonts with ham and cheese in it..city food is not that good you do have pick the right resterants you might as well get a pub meal or maccas
Thank you so much for your video. Tourism and migration are so important to Australia as most Australians work in service related industries. Australians are also great travellers and work hard to improve the experience of being in Australia. Please come back and also keep promoting all the great places that you travel.
Thanks :) I'm returning to Australia in a few weeks, this time the east coast. I'm excited to see some of the more remote areas!
Glad you enjoyed Melbourne. Best city in Australia (and I've lived in a few!) Stalactites is a part of the old Greek quarter in the CBD. It's an institution, but definitely not flash 😅 Plenty of other much nicer places to try. Next time, try the Yarra Valley wineries instead of Puffing Billy, and venture outside the CBD to an inner suburban shopping & cafè strip like Brunswick Street 😊 The Twelve Apostles are a fair drive from Melbourne; best to stay overnight at a seaside town like Torquay or Apollo Bay.
Nice CD collection. Shame you didn't have time to make it to any of the 100's of rock n roll venues we have. Maybe next time. Melbourne is considered by many international artists as the music capital of the world.
Really? Do recommend some places please!
@@amelia.exploresGod. There's so many. I have 30-40 within 20 min walk from my house. Some of the ones around the city I go to are: Esplanade Hotel, Tote Hotel, Stay Gold, Retreat Hotel, Northcote Social Club, Croxton Bandroom, HiFi Bar, Cherry Bar, Gem Hotel, Bendigo Bar, Lulie St Tavern, Last Chance Rock n Roll Bar, Memo Music Hall, Old Bar, Bar Open, Evelyn Hotel, St Kilda Bowling Club, but that's just the tip. Obviously there are bigger places that international bands will play at too like KISS (or Taylor Swift) at the MCG/Melbourne Cricket Ground that seats 100,000 or like QATSA @the outdoor SydneyMyerMusicBowl, but little venues like The Gem Hotel (free) will have surprise acts like J.Mascous (Dinosaur Junior) solo... Plus there's heaps of micro breweries that have bands like Bonneyrig Brew House. So, so many. We're spoilt for choice. Maybe look at a 12 month work visa for next time so you can see the less touristy stuff.. 🎶🎸🍻 keep on rockin 🎧🎵🔅
Australia is a perfect example of what the British are capable of when they put their mind to it. Hope you enjoy my country and get to like it. Have fun and enjoy it. CHEERS.
Great video showcasing a bit of my hometown Melbourne...so glad you liked your stay here and hope you come back one day. 😊❤
Why does everyone seem to want to go to the Gold Coast? It's a beach and theme parks with tall buildings. There are so many other interesting places.
I think its because its talked about so much. I'm actually heading to WA soon so will see what that's like.
@@amelia.exploresYep, the Gold Coast is overrated (I can say that because I'm from Queensland originally!) Plenty of nicer, more relaxed beachside areas in NSW and Qld to explore.
Pura Vida Amelia!!
Pura vida tobin!
@@amelia.explores thanks beautiful soul!
Nice Vid, However the audio needs addressing. You speak softly so the volume is low, yet the music is blasting making the vid way too loud.
Thanks, this is really useful feedback. I had some audio trouble with this one, will try address it for future videos!
Melbourne is awesome but finding all the best food and best places to visit takes time depending what you're into. Exploring Melbourne is a major part of the fun though. Exploring Victoria is fun too.
