Yep. It is absolutely 10/10. But I still don't get why HC has to abuse people at the gigs (students?). He was a student at Uni once. I don't get it. I really love the Stranglers but he just sounds like a complete arsehole.

I was there for both concerts at the Royal Festival Hall in 2004 with my late dad Bryan. We were in the 2nd row centre on both nights and loved every minute.

As a scapegoat survivor of narcissistic parent child abuse, this song rings more true than it did whenever I first heard it in 1987! I was nine.

It’s crazy how this was filmed and it turned out to be the last Smiths concert

The best there has ever been and the best that we will ever see, she has always been a little pocket rocket and she has paved the way for so manu women in the rock and punk scene, new wave and pop. There is no one that can match Debbie and we wont see anyone touch her level again, as a musician she has been a heavy inspiration in my passion and love for music and i see her imprint in so many other artists work, such an immense artist and one of the best we will see. Also giving credit to the boys aswell, blondie wouldnt be blondie without the spine Clem Burke and Chris Stein. Underrated musicians.

Fantastic video.. it captures a great era for british music & fashion.. The 80s were magic..

The fact this song was covered by Costello, Joe Jackson and others is testament to what a brilliantly written pop song it is. I think they recognised this as great songwriters themselves, and couldn't resist it. I love the post punk/ new wave feel they bring to it.
