I truly beautiful voice. I have heard many singers do this song, and they all have all done a magnificent job. What they all do, however, is sing to show off their voice. Colm wilkinson sings it like a prayer. You can hear him asking God to save his son every note. Until a singer understands that and prays, he really prays to God in that song he will never sing it better than Colm Wilkinson.

I saw Geronimo play Valjean years ago in the West End. He was superb!!

I love his use of straight tone - it adds so much emotional tension to the phrases without being over done, AND it doesn’t affect his intonation.

I saw les mis in 2014 with ramin and sierra bogess and will Swenson it was such an amazing show it changed my life honestly

I’m so damn envious. I saw this cast, with the sole exception of Geronimo; we got his understudy. Had I seen it with him, it would’ve been the best show I’ve ever seen

His voice is good and fits for Javert, but his acting is so weird. He keeps putting emphasis on weird words and completely overacts in these moments

It can't be the best cast if Philip Quast isn't Javert. My local city's cast did a much better job I loved how Javert was banging the chains against the stair case as he was stalking down valjean

great stage lighting effects makes both Valjean and Fantine appear realistically celestial

She’s good but she just overdoes every song she sings. She pronounces things so strangely and even in this performance where Fantine is meant to be weak and sickly prioritizes sounding perfect over putting emotion into the lyrics.

The only regret I have seeing this show in London 2012 was that Gerónimo wasn’t performing. Otherwise, seeing the show with Sierra boggess and tam mutu was fucking sublime

He is an amazing Valjean and it is impressive that he has a quite strong Spanish accent when he speaks English but it is not all that present in his performance. I work every day in an environment where I am required not to have an accent when i speak English and I can guess this man has done A LOT of work to achieve that. And as always I add a comment four year later then anyone else.

I saw the show in November 2012, and I absolutely loved the cast (incl. tam mutu as Javert and sierra boggess as fantine). My only regret was that Geronimo wasn’t there for that performance, he’s simply superb

Saw this in may 2018 with Killian Donnelly as JVJ, Paul Wilkins as Marius and Carley Stenson as Fantine and at this point of the show the whole theatre was crying,including me who cried like a little baby. I think when I saw Les Miz with this incredibly talented cast it were the best 3 hours of my life ♡
