I was really. really. really hoping you would try to get all your pieces onto the 2nd and 3rd ranks, that would be hilarious. Kind of a cowardly but bullying method of play, just squeeze your opponent off the board. I think I almost did it once, actually very difficult to achieve.

That first game was probably one of, if not the best one ever for me. I've only been playing for about a year and a half, it all started for me as a New Year's Resolution in January 2023 to play 1000 games of chess and learn throughout by January next year. I completed the 1000 games, and fell in love with the game during the journey. It was super fun playing you! Video idea: Puzzle Rush with the boys!

Great video! Incredibly meek play. I think at 36:57 you missed an even more cowardly move. You could've blocked the check with the light squared sister, pinning the queen, because pieces that can move are scary

Your opponent played extremely well for a 1000 rated player! He's either a smurf or just extremely underrated. He had board awareness well beyond his rating and also showed that he's familiar with some key concepts throughout the game. I'd say he was hanging there pretty well considering the rating difference, but we also need to take into account the enterprising nature of your playing style...
