Something like this could be made for 16mm scale, with a Mamod coach and stationary engine... (I've seen it before, quite a useful little thing for a quick evening run)

Great video! In 1984, on a business trip to Boston/USA, I saw it for the first time: a Mamod train set. Later in the year, on a short trip to the UK, I tried to find it in a shop, but (almost) without any success. Only a couple of hours before the ferry left Dover, I found a toy shop in Folkestone which had most of the Mamod train items in stock. I bought a maroon loco as well as some wagons and track. Back home, the first steaming was quite disappointing. But after some fine tuning and running in, it gradually developed into a very good engine. To make it short, after a few years and about 20 visits to the UK few I had 8 Mamod locos and 'enough' coaches, wagons and track. All locos I have modified somewhat, mainly with parts from Mike Cheney and Salem Steam Models (displacement lubricators, pistons with O rings, gas and liquid meths burners, chimneys, safety valve covers etc. Two of the locos I had modified to 0-6-0 wheel arrangement, and that worked very well. My railway was the CMR (Cologne Mamod Railway). When I moved to the UK in 1996 I had only limited opportunities to use the railway, and therefore reluctantly I sold off several items. And before my move to Cyprus in 2005 I had to sell the rest as well. But at least I have good memories.

Absolutely loved it !! Took a while to get to Dungeness from Hythe but seeing the quaint cottages and bungalows and beautiful countryside is worth every second. Do they still have the cafes at Hythe, Romney & Dungeness? They were such a nice spot to have a light snack and drink or have a very nice cooked meal. Thanks for posting !

I do really love these tracks with the moss and an actual aging look. It just looks so much more real than just a bare metal and plastic track on some bricks or wood or something.
