Oh my gosh I was so thrilled to come across this. I live in Oklahoma and I used to listen to him when I was a young woman in my twenties I'm now 68 years old. Such a soothing voice and wisdom all in one. Paul Harvey is right The thing you remember about radio is what it imparted to you through your ears and into your mind. What really amazed me was the fact that he started out at WKRP and unbeknownst to me I have all these years repeated that WKRP not remembering where it came from. I love this man.😊

My father wanted to be a farmer but was derailed by the second world war. When he returned from overseas, he took up selling insurance to farmers. He could relate to them. I would ride with him in his 1963 Mercury Comet (6 cylinders and shifted by three on the tree). There was a Utica Mutual cardboard box between us with all the important papers needed for the upcoming visit. We would listen to Paul Harvey on that AM radio. A fine memory indeed. I was 7 years old.

He knows whereof he speaks. Allowing someone else to visualize anything you first saw in your own imagination is wicked. They rob and steal your personal visions and replace them with mediocre imitations.

The first time I heard his broadcasts on the radio, I was travelling from one end of Canada to Vancouver Island back in 1995. I was deeply upset when I couldn’t hear him when I got to the next province and a new time zone. Now I listen to him on my tablet. He is sorely missed my me. Thank you Mr Harvey for being you, and your talented way about you for entertaining us

Funny how he says for men to lead and it’s our responsibility, but we all know the elitist groups/royal families have plenty of men behind the destruction we see today. The destruction of the family was done on purpose by elitist groups.

What a wonderful man and truly one of my heroes! I’m in my mid 50’s and grew up with Paul Harvey. I can’t describe how one man can truly love another man he’s never even met, but I did love Paul Harvey, and his passing left an irreplaceable hole / void nobody would ever be able to fill. Even though I’ve lived a mostly great life, there were many days that listening to his news and Rest of the Story broadcasts was the most enjoyable part of my day. Nobody will ever replace that distinguished voice and generational talent to activate one’s imagination as Mr. Paul Harvey. What a legacy!!

He is the greatest orator of many generations, but most of all the greatest generation and their children. Thank God for Paul Harvey and the decades he pontificated to a listening audience that could hear the spoken word and use their imagination to fill in the gaps. Oh, that one could replace him.

Whoever wants to be the best man they can possibly be need only do 2 things. Listen to God, then listen to Paul Harvey. Even today Mr. Paul Harvey makes me a better man. He wore a toupee, but he could afford it. I met him when his wife was in the nursing home. He was one of the best. He did all his research without a computer, not an easy task back then. He is missed by many.💒

No one has mentioned that Paul was a man of deep Christian faith and once in awhile would slip in his daily broadcast a snippet of scripture verse or biblical principles. He was always careful not to sound too “religious” knowing most of his listeners were not interested in the gospel so he was respectful of everyone who listened! What great character!

Being on both sides of the microphone over 60 years, I have found that a few words now and then are more effective than hours of 'speechifying' every night. It is the mood you set with your voice, not the content of the words you use. THAT is radio !!!!!! Paul Harvey set me on my voyages in radio, and I am grateful !
