TOO MUCH CUTNESS AWWWWW
Nice
Glad you like it!
It's old linoleum or cognoleum. The buildingers probably used it as a shim.
Thank you! I didn’t think that type of flooring was that old.
Whoever built the wall must have used it.
aww seems like it was a fun day
❤ i love pappy is cute sweet pappy
What a sweet puppy!
Looks like it is going to be so nice when you are done. Loved your tour and everything you explained was interesting!
Thanks so much!
Myrna you know what if your home is coming today or is this afternoon work for us at your convenience if 😂❤❤
I use Dogtra collars. Much more superior, though expensive
I’ve thought about switching but just the learning curve and extra expense is enough for me but it’s a good product.
Ma quanto siete belli

Doing what dogs do, chasing things.
Working at Walmart, knowing the laws and what to do/not to do with Service animals and their handlers... I'm so sorry for the shit ya'll endure due to the ignorance of the general populace.

A super excited stiff wag kind of ultra fast, things will most likely go wrong...a fast but looser, butt kind of down usually just a happy butt
I think it’s hard to tell the motivation without knowing the dog at least a little.
Have you had any issues with ‘laser pointer syndrome’ or have you found the dogs you work with generally don’t get too worked up over the laser? Teaching this same skill with my “Guinea pig” dog (not actually a service dog but I’m training assistance skills for my certification). She’s a border collie and though I haven’t had any severe problems since she has an established ‘leave it’ and ‘finish’, + we don’t use it as a toy, but her change in attitude does cause her to make some careless mistakes. Interested to know if you did any desensitisation work with your dogs or if they have always been fairly indifferent to the laser? I’ve been hanging it up on a string to a curtain rail then turning the fan on so the laser moves around the room enticingly for a few hours, all while enforcing downtime to hopefully take some novelty out of the laser. It’s all going well but I’m still a bit nervous about it backfiring and causing things to get worse since this is a pretty untouched frontier in training. Generally the rules are “don’t use laser pointers at all” so I’m mostly winging it here.
I startled more at the bowl drop than the dog did XD
I’m training a 3 year old yorki to be a PSDIT! But he’s never even played fetch it’s never been his thing lol I’ve honestly never had a dog that would fetch for me. I’ve had odd dogs.
Most dogs won't fetch. Usually retriever breeds, hunting breeds and livestock dogs are the only ones that will. I have an Aussie that loves fetching for hours, and I have a Greyhound/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that just stares at me like I'm an idiot when I throw the toy. My first service dog would chase the toy, but never bring it back or pick it up. Dogs are odd little guys! The fetching part isn't necessary unless you need a dog to pick something up for you, but since a Yorkie is so small, they won't help much.
make sure you test to see if they are food motivated, if they arent food motivated training will be a lot harder
The pinch test could be a simple finger between the toes, rather then a pinch
my boy passes all the tests and is great but he's not freaking food motivated, he wants to obey naturally though, like he follows the food lure into position and then stops when i praise him but doesn't take the food. idek
I heard that it is okay as long as they are obedience and does actually listen to you when you repeat the commands and to not lose willingness to follow your commands
I switched him to protection training instead of service dog and training using toys has worked perfectly
Each animal is different some dogs are food motivated while others are motivated by praise and affection or toys I have had each dog type as a service dog I actually prefer the affection motivated pups over the others less to carry with you for training and in my case have seen a higher work drive. Main issue I have seen with food driven dogs is that some newer handlers may overly depend on the treats and not vary up enough how often they are given leading to the dog only working for food and not with out it which can be a huge issue with sd
