Communities Driving Change: Strengthening the GBV Response
NACOSA runs a community systems strengthening and livelihoods project for organisations addressing gender-based violence in mining communities funded by the Tshikululu Trust and made possible by Anglo American Platinum. Small, grassroots organisations were supported with capacity building, skills training, mentoring and funding to improve governance, networking and sustainability and increase the quality of services for people experiencing GBV.

Impressive work done by community organizations when called to action for a world emergency. Big ups to NACOSA, the Global Fund and the Department of Health to build strong partnerships to confront the COVID-19 Pandemic headon
GBV comes in lots of forms and it doesn't have to be physical violence. For example, when people (men or women) attack a female's reputation and integrity, then that is a form of GBV. Let's acknowledge that in law.
