My band was talking about doing that one so would be a good one for me.

Yeah this one is a little different but a good study for sure.

Definitely not a dumb question. I'd say ghost notes are always meant to be percussive. Here I'm simply playing the ones I heard on the recording so it's not a choice I personally made but it definitely fits. If you're having trouble with ghost notes, a good exercise is to play a scale where every other note is played as a ghost note. It's all in the fretting hand. Have the plucking hand do what it always does and train the fretting hand to not press all the way down on the fret for the ghost notes.

@@JCountryBass Thank you for asking. It is mostly older material from when I played often. We had male and female vocalists. I hope this list isn’t too long. This is just from the top of my head because I can’t recall all the set lists. We had 5 set lists of which we always performed 3. @@frankortega4280 Thanks, Frank! I'd love to have both a male and female vocalist in my band. That'd make about any song possible. I appreciate you taking the time to list your crowd pleaser songs. I've covered a few of them on here already but eventually want to cover most of them. I'd really like to inspire and help get people ready for most any country gig.

Very nice production and your bass playing is always flawless. Truly great work! As you can see from my partial list of songs I favor the older material which to me is truer to the country style. I hope you won’t mind if as songs come to me I pass them along to you as possible suggestions for future videos. My old band believed you can never know enough country songs especially if you played the same gig twice in a weekend. Keep up the awesome work!

Wow, he's played with everyone. There are some good guitar riffs in Patty's songs so I'm not surprised.

@@JCountryBass Thank you for saying such positive words! Are you a Nashville musician? Yes John was on a Ton of hits, was in the Byrds, Desert Rose Band, the Hellecasters, played years with Elton John… He plays Django Reinhardt music which is really complicated and fast.

@@martydibergi5228 No, I'm just an amateur musician with a regular day job. I think it'd be fun to be a Nashville musician though. I can appreciate JJ because I play guitar too.

Actually, "dude" has read the dictionary of music style guide and knows that in 4/4 time, it's easier to find the down beats with ties instead.
