@@darthrevan6861 It's simple and compact, it doesn't drag for too long and satisfies the reader. Solo leveling is great and it's simple story and great action sequences, power system, mysteries and Jinwoo's character development is what makes it special. There is a reason why it's one of the greatest manhwas of all time, and so far I've seen every person on RUclips and reactors and they are loving it. Personally the anime is doing a great job at adapting the mix of LN and manhwa. And the real stuff hasn't even started yet it's only gonna get better. There is a story and it's about the monarchs, their past and why Jinwoo got powers and the system, all of it is a mystery and tbh it's actually quite interesting and good.

@6 Oh I did read the manwha like a year ago, so I know exactly what's gonna happen. When I said ,,good, but nothing special" I was talking about the manwha. I've read the whole thing (well, except the bonus 10-15 chapters which came out a few months ago) I love Solo Leveling as well (my anilist banner is still a SL panel -> lets be honest, the art is what made SL iconic), but it has it's flaws. Side characters are basically non-existent, the manwha is full of characters who look like they'll be important and then just being completely thrown away (first example is Ju-Hui Lee), also, after a while, basically EVERY SINGLE character, whether it's a hunter or an enemy is being used for nothing more than to showoff how edgy and strong Jinwoo is. (Thomas Andre, Goto, basically all National-Level Hunters being completely wasted), pacing seems weird after a while, etc. Still, I loved SL even with it's flaws. But calling it one of the greatest manwha's of all time.. obviously it's subjective, but when you compare it to something like ORV it's just so much more, better in literally EVERY single aspect. (Not just ORV, although that's my fav manwha so I used it as an example)

@@darthrevan6861 Sure I get your point, but side characters in solo leveling act as a hype boost for Sung Jinwoo, the whole point is to show Jinwoo as this cool op MC, for example Andre was stated to be the strongest hunter multiple times only to be humiliated by Jinwoo in 2 chapters. That's the point, characters like Reed were there for the plot progression for the monarchs, Joohee was a character that didn't need any more depth cuz this is a power fantasy not a romance genre. There is little to no romance in this manhwa which for me is a strong point of it. As for a few other characters like the Chinese national hunter and the Jeju Island arc characters, I agree with you they should have had more depth and more screentime. But overall it isn't that crucial.
