i'm also from the South East, near Lewes a few good lanes nearby but we chuck the bikes in our vans and go to Wales and Devon/Somerset, some great riding areas down there.

It's Surrey in the South East of England, a few lanes that we can ride there, your riding areas look better though!

hi Jeff, i now have the 08 sport rider map in the ecu of my tpi, the map switch only changes the ignition curve of that map, the soft setting does give more traction and a softer delivery of power while the hard setting is full on with a very aggressive and hard hitting delivery. for technical and wet stuff i use the soft setting, hard setting is good for drag racing my mates lol.

hi Jeff, no one in my group of mates has got a ktm tpi yet so i couldn't be sure of the difference. My buddy here is riding his stock 2017 300 exc carbed bike, we have loads of banter on this subject!. i think the only difference you will notice between them would be the difference in the rear suspension, ktm has the pds with no linkage while husky has a linkage. definitely feels better (smoother) than my old husaberg that had pds. the engines and mapping are exactly the same on both TPI'S so it can only be the way it gets the power down to ground that's different. hope this helps you out.

I've had my tpi since August 2017 so was one of the first tpi's in the uk, it has been 100% reliable and rides really good. I've done almost 50 hours on it now, mainly trail riding and a few enduro events. I had the new mapping installed (08 sport rider map) in march and this made the fueling slightly richer and slightly more 2t oil delivery to engine which made what i thought was already very good even better!

where the people are walking is a byway and has the same legal right as a main road in the uk, the speed limit is 60mph! but obviously you take into account other users, hence why i slow down when i see walkers/dogs etc, the gopro dosen't show how visable the trail ahead is, the bike and myself are fully road legal and insured, other parts of the land are private property and i have permission to ride there!

hi Paul, apart from the leaking oil reservoir when i first got the bike it's been spot on, done just under 30hours now and has not missed a beat!, i'm in my forties and have ridden motox and hare and hounds for 25+ years and can honestly say it's the best running 2stroke i've ever had!, it's just as powerful as my previous bike, (2013 husaberg te300), did a full day riding lanes etc in wales including strata florida and when we filled up the carb 300's needed 7litres of fuel compared to 4.5litres in my tpi .

HuskyBoy300te hi mate,cheers for the info,I done strata in wales in September ,top place ,just sold my ktm 300 Xc ,my mate has bought the ktm 250 tpi and had the same problem with the oil tank ,I'm off to husky sport today , not sure whether to go for the 250 or 300 ,I'd like to get back into motocross ,so maybe the 250 as I can use it for mx , cheers

I got one coming in January also. What is the problem with the oil tank?

Jimmy Dunga the ktm and husky both had an issue with them splitting and leaking but they seem to have sorted it out now,chat to your dealer about it mate

You got a rag in the airbox or somthing then goes ok for a 125 though ;-)

Paul Catchpole I got a 17 300 they sound supper sputery till you cut into the airbox a little bit. I kept messing with my jets until I cut into my airbox much better afterwards.

My biggest problem is not the bike, but try to hold on to it.

OS maps look for Byways and other routes with public access but you need a road legal bike
