Просмотров 11 тыс.Год назад
Hello All. One of my first attempts on a how-to video. I am still learning so please leave tips and comments. I am using a Creality Falcon 10w Laser and a Creality Rotary Tool to laser engrave tumblers. I hope this helps some people and if anyone needs help please ask. Laser: www.creality.com/products/cr-laser-falcon-laser-engraver-10w?spm=..product_538c3c79-e9e1-4526-b945-b6bd5fa821c3.nav_link...

Hey bud! I was looking at putting the 3.6 on my mustang.. what parts needed to be swapper out for fitment?? just the fitment of the blower... lower plate??
Need custom lower plate, custom front snout, custom inlet plenum, custom brackets. Aftermarket hood, Kmember spacers, and battery relocation.
@@GodStang03 thank you for your time! The lower plate.. did you make your own or modify one? lower plate being the one the blower is bolted to correct? I will be running a rear inlet intake with remote bypass as i have that setup on a 2.1 now... the blower fits between the fuel rails without mods?
@@DynoTuneN20 the blower sits on a plate that hooks into another plate that the intercooler bolts to. For aftermarket fuel rails to fit we did have to countersink the bolts. The hardest part of the whole mod is getting the correct snout as there are none that fit. There were 6 made in ~2013-2014 and that’s what I have. All depends on what motor it’s on top of and how far back to the firewall.
@@GodStang03 ive got a 2004 terminator motor in a 66 stang.. so if i did the fuel rail mod.. then made and blower plate adaptor.. I could probably adjust the blower front to back to line up the belt.. then drill the holes... ive got plenty of room out back...as im not using that mamoth stuff.. I also do not run a pulley bridge... I run the 01 blower setup that uses the accessory drive setup to spin the blower.. its just way cleaner this way..
@@DynoTuneN20 some things to think about there are no non mammoth inlets that will fit the massive housing of the 3.6L, also the 3.6L inlet is a restriction so you really need bigger to flow correctly. I think the GT500 snout is closest to the 99-01 Cobra snout so may be your best choice if attempting to shift forward and backward. Good luck and if you have anymore questions just holler!
How much hp did it make
No dynos around here so it was street tuned so unfortunately no numbers.
@@GodStang03 How do It drive
@@SG-nl2uk with the Megasquirt MS3PRO ECU and Bosch 210 injectors it idles and runs fantastic on E85.
What happened where’s the content? I love shii like this
can we get some more videos of this car?
Jacob Bailey If I ever stop taking it apart...
GodStang03 you have an instagram we can follow? was looking at getting a 3.6 for my car, just cant find any info on it
Jacob Bailey yes sir it’s just @GodStang on Instagram.
wanna sell the Kenne Bell?
PassportRacing haha it would be way too expensive. So much custom work to get it to fit nicely.
Yea i know but how much? need one for a cobra and kennel bell just says "it'll be out soon" for the past 2 years
PassportRacing ya I can’t see how Kenne Bell could make a kit for the Cobra with the amount of parts needed. I think I paid ~$7K for it and then easy another $2K in parts just to get it to fit.
Turns out the shop owner here has already spoken to you about this as well haha
Mechanical music! I would let it idle all day. Ahh!
am about to build a 402 What all u did to your block
exhaust setup? idling at 600--650?
The final tune is not in so Idling high I think 1K in this video. Exhaust is 1-7/8" kooks LTs with 3" mid pipe and cat back. The mufflers are XR-1 multicores.
u live in Ga?
Jeff H just across the boarder in SC.
what cams you running
Jeff H Crower Stage III cams.
what did you change?
Swapped from a 2.8LC to a 3.6LC was the main upgrade. Also swapped mufflers, intercooler tank, trunk battery, and DYAD clutch.
Any updates?
Viperischriso sorry I have been slack. We are so close to being done but keep getting side tracked. You can follow the build on Instagram @GodStang
Nice setup. I have a somewhat similar setup but standard inlet at the same boost. Looks like you made a bit more tq than me. Do you ever find the blower heat soaking on the street at such high boost levels?
you see how the rear end is coming out thats what caused it ... diff bushings and brace is must on these cars
awsome car man!.....i have a sonic blue cobra #628 i just bought that was tuned in 2010 at bob kurgan and i want to do cams because i want that lopy idle sound.....what do u think the best cams to go for sound are im worried about hp but i want it to sound the best....future plans for a KB mamouth will fix hp problems she is running sct jlt tune 12 psi making 465 to wheels with cams where do u think those numbers would be...
very nice! i also have an sonic blue but with stage 2 cams on stock blower!!! love it
Kooks 1-7/8" x 3" Kooks 3" xpipe, and JBA 3" SS IRS catback. I want to switch the mufflers out to 3" Borla.
Kooks long tubes, o/r x and borla stingers with crower stage 3s, is that right? Sounds sick
well that answers that LOL i dont know why we got derailed into the eaton efficiency and how they work.. i am very familiar with the eaton blowers on modular 4.6 motors. they are nice little blower but once you start to pulley them down they become great cause for concern because of the iat even with a larger heat exhanger. they are called heatons for a reason =)
And Manny to answer your first question. We were testing parts for a company and the shop had this gauge laying around and it was free to use for testing and filming. We hooked it up to the line next to the blower and did a few test runs for data. I agree it is an overkill but it was free and it was there so we went with it. My kenne Bell Gauge only gos up to 30psi and I am running 28psi so I am more on scale with the functional one.
You say peak efficiency boost. Peak efficiency boost on what? This here is on an 03 cobra and stock crank is 7.5". So if you had a 9" lower and with a 2.75" upper you are looking at around 17-18psi which I have seen some good numbers off this setup on eatons so I would have to agree. Of course it has nothing to do with boost but has to do with blower rpms. Any engine you swap the eaton to will have different psi so you will have to adjust pulley ratio to fix. In the end just run a TS...
i never said i did did i? but i can tell you i know the facts directly from eaton as i still have them on file from an email i recieved just a few months ago.. & just a little more of a fact since you brought up peak efficiency once again... directly from eaton themselves, the peak efficiency on this blower is reached @ 23 psi with said ratio given off a 2.75 pulley & 9in. crank pulley. & who cares if it fails? why are you just now throwing variables after im stating the facts?
yeah im sure you know so much... ofcourse is a bandaid. you are spinning the blower out of its efficiency range. you can use meth to hide the extra heat but you have to relay on the meth pump... what if it fails? if you are tuned right you wont make power because the tune will pull timing. if you are tuned by a monkey you will probably lose the engine. btw i had nitrous and have a blower on my current car. if you think that spining a blower out of its designed rotor efficiency is good... well GL
oh just a band-aid? you sure don't know much at all.... it's okay man, maybe you should just stick with nitrous setups.
yeah... its called a band aid
20+psi & water meth injection.. ever heard of it?
i understand how blowers work. when you spin an m112 blower to 20+ psi the ita temps will be comparable to those of a flame thrower. detonation will be come an issue unless you run on race fuel and even then the blower will be way out of its efficiency range.
blower pressure is fully dependent upon blower pulley size & conjunction with the crank pulley size which gives you a final drive ratio.. & just a little fyi the blower is tested from factory spec from eaton at 28psi & given a stock crank pulley & the smallest puley you can put on a 03-04 cobra the max pressure you can get is 17psi.. I have personally seen a stock ford type m112 blower installed on a 1uz-fe swapped jeep hit a peak pressure of 23psi.
The stock inlet flows around 900 cfms this one I think is north of 1800 cfms. When pullied for 28psi it removes a restriction for more power. I did not notice any more whine. This video was my first setup and not the final one I ran with that inlet.
What advantages did you get out of the inlet? More whine, horsepower?
Fuckin great build!
Those are the relays for the 3 fuel pumps. We added LEDs to know if fuses go out to help with trouble shooting. Went a bit over board but I tend to.
What were all of those electronics in the trunk
why do you have a 0 to 60 psi guage for a blower that wont put out more than 14psi?
No he did great work but I am now using a tune by Bob Kurgan @ Kurgan Motorsports.
No these are stock Jan 05 Mustang Cobra heads unported.
Hey did you do a ford gt head swap?
Price not sure I bought it in 2008 and just the inlet later I added other parts so whole kit I am not sure. You can order it from the great guys at Kurgan Motorsports 770-708-7223.
how much did the behemoth inlet cost? You know if mr. norms still sells them? Thanks.
You still rockin' in Eric Brooks tunes?
Nice torque line!! Damn!!
Sounds fucking good dude!
haha i was hanging off the back of that bitch in the yellow hat
That's what I"m used to...up north we had a really cool group of guys with t-birds/cougars/mark 7's & 8's and some lightnings. I had a riced out Z28 with a really nice looking paint job rev hard at me today in the McDonald's drive through...no street racing in the drive through please....can't wait to get my motor done and in so the car can back up it's bark.
I go to that show some. They do not like cars newer than 1972 or people younger than 40 but I like to drive my car. No good Ford only groups. We are mostly domestic young guys in our group.
So if I hang out at Kroger enough I can follow Cobra's to street races? lol I've been here almost 3yrs now and the idiots at Kroger the first saturday of each month aren't the kind of people I enjoy hanging out with...I've seen one or two GT500's out there with no driver/owner to be seen. Any Ford specific clubs around here I don't know about?
Disagree. They stick out way too far.
sounds beautiful! goodluck with her
Who are the Terminator Cobras? Not dissin' 'em, but just asking.
