Lovely project! Can I ask - is that the Record Power Coronet Herald you're using? I've got a 2nd hand old CL2 at the moment which is really too big for my space, and was looking at getting the Herald, but keep wondering about Envoy (which is twice the price!!) - anything about the Herald you don't like?

Hey man, I really hope you take more safety precautions with this. The design doesn't look cool enough for the risk you're taking. I would love to see something hand-carved by a living woodworker rather than the same generic fractal wood burned plank from a guy with BOTH HANDS BURNED OFF.

I think CA glue is over rated; plus it’s super toxic afterward and it just doesn’t bond for long....so get upset when people swear by it. I love pinecone and resin stuff though.

I am a new turner and just bought a Record Power Coronet Herald. I love this piece, such beautiful grain! My only concern with Red Cedar is the pulmonary issues with its dust. When weather is good and I can turn it outside with mask love the wood. Thank you for all your help. Best

Good point ,I don't know why I didn't round the ends over ....do you think the pin will leave lines in the dough or pastry when being used?

I think if it were me, I'd have rounded over the edges of the long part.
