I can’t get the two screws on the front underneath (by the magnetic tamper holder & just in front of steam wand). I’m using a small Philips screwdriver. Even tried spraying a little wd40 but they won’t budge. Any tips? I’m about to throw the thing off my deck I’m so frustrated.

Utter junk, we bought a 4 piece toaster and kettle at the same time, about 2 years ago, very expensive. The enamel peeled off the very heavy kettle and the lid broke. The toaster now has broken, one side won't stay down 😔 I won't be buy Smeg products anytime soon 😢

🤦🏼‍♂️ you must HATE the next person that will have to take the head off. Red locktite is considered high strength/semi permanent. Those machine screws will never come out after this. If you MUST use a thread locker use blue medium strength locktite. It will still be removable with great effort if it's ever needed.

My BOV900 doesn't reach the set temperature when the pre-heat alarm sounds, in bake mode (I haven't tried other modes). It then turns off. Would you have any suggestions how to approach this? Thank you for any help!

Same problem with mine. I expected better from Breville. Poor solder joints especially on the relays and flux left all over the power and control boards. The encoders and switches on the control board are also problematic but can be cleaned with contact cleaner.
